Comfort

Atlas Packs Athlete

(1/2)

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Hiking

Atlas Packs Athlete

I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack.

Timbuk2 Rogue

(1/1)

I often commute by bike so I needed something that can haul all of my daily necessities and I also wanted something for my day hikes and climbing/bouldering excursions. I hate that modern day packs skimp on shoulder strap quality as a way to shave off weight so I was very happy to find this bag has well padded shoulder straps that stay comfortable even with a full bag. I like the water bottle pouch on the side since my water bottle loves to leak. The bag is strong and hasn't torn or frayed on me yet which is saying something since I tend to destroy backpacks

Compartment

Carry-on

Size

Timbuk2 Rogue

(1/1)

Disclaimer: This is a personal opinion I wanted a: 1) large, one compartment bag - check! and 2) light, foldable/flat bag when empty - check! Everything else is a bonus. This bag packs a bunch. It can hold more than you think. Beach towels, Shoes, lunch, laptop etc

So, I actually wanted to use and abuse this bag a little before I left a review so here goes. I needed a bag that could do a little bit of everything.
