I also purchased a Capture Clip from Peak Designs which allows you to fix the camera to the shoulder strap in place while hiking – a great addition to this pack. 

 A small hole developed in one of the side waterbottle pockets but I can take resposibility for that when I shoved the tip of my trekking pole in there. 

Important: Choose the Adventure or Athlete hip belt – otherwise you will have literally no padding on your hips. I don’t recommend using the bag without a hipbelt either. The Adventure belt is more comfortable as it provides two layers of foam padding and a wider webbing and buckle – it’s also bigger and bulkier.

Even with the camera compartment loaded the back pannel is comfy and I never feel any of the gear inside digging into my back.

 It goes all the way down in the front here, so you reach all the way down into the front of the bag. Right here, there's my hand going all the way in some more dry dry packs, so you can stuff clothes and things all the way down there. It'S got a little laptop sleeve right here in the front it might be hard to see, but you can slide your laptop in there and it sits against the cube, so it stays stays flat and it doesn't kind of jostle around and then here's the frame. So there's the steel frame i was talking about - and this is the large frame and you'll see it goes to here

 You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead. You can just put the medium frame in if you want it to be even a little bit smaller [ Applause ] additional pouch on the inside. It goes to there additional molle webbing and then a nice little spot for your name here, more straps on the inside

 There are also spots here to put in a smaller frame a medium frame. I think this is the large frame you can retrofit this pack to be a medium frame, and the medium frame goes right right here. You can see that so there's the sizing for the large frame there's the sizing for the medium frame. Now it will fit under uh under an airline seat as it is in the large frame and will also fit in the overhead

 We'Ve got this nice mesh here, but then there's also some ribs. That kind of raise that you know to allow for some more airflow, which i think is really nice, these pockets, which you can pop out [ Applause ] and have extra little pockets here that you can put lenses in things like that. I mentioned lens pouches earlier. In fact, let me grab one of these, so i own several of these pouches, which are the think tank pouches

 Is this bag just cinches down into a much smaller footprint, because there's a lot of bags out there? It'S a 40 60 liter pack, whatever it is, you might only have 15 or 20 liters in the bag or maybe only you're, only using a quarter of its carry capacity, but the footprint of the bag or main is the same so that be able to have A pack that can really kind of switch squish down into a smaller footprint to me is everything, that's a very, very good quality, so just to jump right into it. Of course, this is the the yellow version. This is the also the tall version it comes in a regular size and I'm 6 foot 2, so that the tall version works perfect for me and just right on the outside, you have these straps up here, so you can strap really any additional items. You would like to it there's also a pocket whoops right here on the front

 Alice is a great job with the the comfortable comfort ability of their harness system and their waist belt, and you might be noticing something no words the waist belt with this. What'S what is fantastic Atlas gives you the option that you can take it on or off. It'S up to you and they make great West waist belts very meaty. There'S a lot of material here, a lot of a lot of substance and durability, so they're very good at the waist belts

 I just want to talk about this real quick on the the back panel. It'S kind of got like a rib design and it is very comfortable and it's got like kind of exaggerated lumbar area right here, which makes carrying this bag very comfortable and in the waist belt, actually tucks right back in here. Let me actually show you on the other bag, so they sent me to. This is a athlete pack and black, but what's different is this one is the regular version

Best Mirrorless Camera Bag? Atlas Packs Athlete Backpack

This bag is very nice looking and the fabric is wonderful for a backpack but I ended up returning this because it did not work for my needs. After you get a laptop in there and a few other essentials, there isn't much room for other items. I wanted this for commuting to work and I tried to fit my laptop, water bottle, wallet, sweater and lunch in there and it barely all fit. The straps are also not very wide or padded so I can't imagine this bag would be comfortable to wear for an extended period of time

The front pocket also only has a one-way zipper, which is annoying to me because if using this on one shoulder, things could fall out when unzipping the pocket. I did like that there was a pocket on the back where you can hide the straps if you just want to use the bag as a tote

 You can move it back and forth here. A thick bit of padding here - and that is plenty comfortable even with this bag, fully loaded out. That'S enough padding and you can kind of curve it around the top of your shoulder and just adjust it wherever you need it and then down you have a stability strap here now uh. This could be a little bit better up here, just because it attaches with velcro

 That'S a great addition there, and if you don't like it, it does just come off it. Just velcros on here to a little piece of hardware at the bottom there and then you just take it off the strap. So that does just come completely off and you can just store it in one of the inside pockets when you're not using it and then moving down the strap. Here you have a quick adjuster and so, while you're wearing it

 If you have any little bit bigger items, you just want to keep off to the side, make sure they stay there and then, in the back here we have a 16-inch macbook pro, so that fits in just fine there's, not a ton of padding here. So just be careful if you have anything too expensive in here, like your laptop, so you know try to avoid dropping it. There'S not a ton of padding or false bottom here. So you can see the inside there's just there's not really much organization there, and you can see what i was talking about with the compression, how, if once you do compress it this middle part kind of comes up into the bag and creates like a little division

 Here you have a lot of weight right here, so that'll kind of drag the front of this bag down, so it doesn't want to stand up super easily. Just because of that, so you know we would appreciate. Maybe if we had some organization like you could put some of these sleeves on the front of the laptop here, it's just all the organization is in this small area, so it can really overload that part of the bag. Another option here would be to kind of keep this as a more secure, quick grab pocket and put all your tech gear in a tech pouch

Timbuk2 Classic Messenger Bag Review (2 Weeks of Use)

 Sometimes just so i haven't got to think about it falling off, so the main compartment we've got this zipper here, which works nicely, had no issues with that, and then you've got this main compartment, which is like a huge bucket. Really it's a nice material inside um. It is light, you know it's not a dark dark material, so that does help, especially with the size of this pack, and you can really fit a lot in here. It'S surprising once you get into it

 It came right to the top, so when you're doing your zipper, it almost felt like it was just worrying when you bring that across and it feels so close, and so just be aware of that. If you've got a bigger laptop, then you may want to kind of if you need that extra protection there's not much room for it, so a big bulky case isn't going to fit in there with your 15 inch laptop okay.  I would recommend using a case if you're going to put it in here, especially this size is just going to fall about, but i just wanted to take the case off, so you could see kind of get a better idea of how much space you have in There you have a slight padding on here, but on this side there's a little bit of padding, but not a lot. So if you want to protect this, then you may need to add an extra layer of protection to that and what concerned me, though, was when we tried this with a 15 inch laptop.  I kept having to swap hand swap it over, and then i ended up just putting it on my shoulder, because that was more comfortable. So if the pack is lighter, then these are great but yeah there's not much support going on. There then you've got this shoulder strap, which is detachable, there's not much kind of change that you can lengthwise on this. So that's something to take note of uh
