This monitor checks that box pretty well. I enjoy everything about it in that regard. The fact that its a high refresh rate screen really helps. I built a PC with a 2070 super in it and a Ryzen 5 3600, I can hit high frame in my games and I can do heavy photo manipulation - I wanted a high refresh rate screen as well to accommodate the PC and this thing delivers

SIZE: if you're in the market for a 1080p monitor, 24" is my personal max screen size. Any higher and the low pixel density becomes too unsightly. Assuming you're buying this, here are some helpful settings: FreeSync Premium vs Motion Blur: personally prefer leaving Motion Blur off so that FreeSync Premium is always on
