The REI Swiftland Hydro redefines the standard of introductory running vests. At an affordable price point, it's easy to use, highly adjustable, and capable of carrying a decent load. Our favorite things about this vest are the intuitive design; at no point do you need to contort your body or undergo an unnatural movement in order to tighten or adjust a strap on the vest. We love that the amount of gear storage permits you to get out for full-day adventures with the necessary gear and some additional layers or medical supplies if need be. Compatibility with both a hydration bladder or soft flasks &#40;not included&#41; add to the versatility of this do-it-all vest.  
For anyone considering trying out a hydration pack for running, but also considering using it for biking, hiking, rafting trips, or staying hydrated at festivals, look no further. With 5 liters of usable storage between a main blitz pocket, an external quick-stow pocket, and front chest pockets, you can bring most anything you need with you with this model. Vests as feature-rich as this one normally don't have such accommodating fits, as they are designed for race-oriented ultrarunners. The Swiftland Hydro is different. It has many high-end functional features for a fraction of the price.

I was so excited when REI asked me to review their first hydration pack for trail running, the REI Swiftland Hydro 5L. REI is a co-operative company that I respect greatly. I love REI’s commitment to sustainability (including their Used Gear store), the building of communities through classes, outings and events, and their huge range of high-end outdoor gear that can be bought online, or viewed in real life at one of their many retail stores across the USA. With that said, when REI Co-op releases a product of their own design, I want to learn ALL about it because I know it’s going to be a high-quality, sustainably made, and reasonably priced product

REI Swiftland Hydro Review: Top Running Hydration Vest!

 It'S kind of like a day pack feels pretty tight close to me, but it definitely doesn't feel like the weights as distributed, especially along that side wrap that i kind of enjoy from my older vest. The other big important thing for me, aside from the capacity and the balance, was the gear access that i loved here. I really can't get to anything. There'S no real open spaces on this pack

 I would like most of the time, but i love black diamond stuff. Their running stuff is um, pretty phenomenal, and i, when i think about durability, the tenacity of this vest seems really cool. The other two that made the cut. Are this nathan pinnacle? 12

 They have the capacity that i'm looking for, which is really important and they're all from brands. That i know are really focused on trail running specifically, which makes me feel like i'm excited to dig more into their design. Obviously, the first one is just the newer version of the one i have on it's. Probably the heavy favorite but got ta, give everybody else a fair chance

 So, if i'm looking to reach something on the side, i really like these pockets. I can right off the bat just grab my nutrition, which is nice on the other side, love getting to my applesauce easy. That'S pretty cool again, it's a velcro piece getting back there. I can already my hand, is scratched up with that top part of that velcro and looking for stuff in there can't really find anything
