 The USB dongle that comes with the headset allows you to use a USB port to connect the headphones. You do not need this dongle if you can plugin the headset directly to the computer audio output. I didn't have this option and need to use the dongle. I like the over the ear fit, helps to reduce the noise in the room. Good audio quality, good microphone audio quality. Excellent for Video Conferences (during COVID-19 Telework)

 and suddenly the sound will cut out and my PC will no longer see the headset in the sound settings. The only way to fix it is by reaching down to my PC, unplugging and re-plugging it into the USB port. It doesn't happen super often, but it happens enough that I start to get pretty frustrated when I'm risking death in a game because I suddenly can't hear anything or speak to anyone for ~10 seconds while I fix it and wait for it to reconnect to my PC. Sometimes it happens hours apart, sometimes 10 mins

 I've used multiple headsets in that same USB slot and never had any disconnecting issues so I'm 99.99% positive it's not the USB port. Because of this issue alone, I would have returned this headset and maybe tried to get a different model or maybe even different brand, but my dog destroyed the product box shortly after receiving it so I guess I'm just going to use what I have.

 The last thing, and the one that really made me just shake my head, is that this headset will randomly just shut off, or lose power, or disconnect - I'm not sure which it is. All that I am sure of, is that *at least* once daily (if I'm using them for ~4 hours or more) I will be playing a game or listening to youtube, ect. and suddenly the sound will cut out and my PC will no longer see the headset in the sound settings. The only way to fix it is by reaching down to my PC, unplugging and re-plugging it into the USB port

 I would have to recommend another brand, at least for headsets. If I had to drive one final point home, it would be DON'T BE DISTRACTED BY CORSAIR'S SLEEK PRODUCT LOOKS, OFTEN TIMES THE PRODUCT QUALITY JUST ISN'T THERE AND PEOPLE OVERLOOK THIS BECAUSE THEY LOOK COOLER THAN MANY COMPETATORS PRODUCTS. So I got these because I had been using a cheap $35 gaming headset and wanted something a bit higher quality, and since about 60% of my PC was using Corsair parts already (that I was very pleased with) I decided to go with these since they seemed to be a nice, stylish gaming headset. But after receiving them and using them for a few months now, I have to say they were underwhelming from what I was hoping for

This is a good headset piece. I use it for gaming and was looking for something cheap but still good since most expensive headsets today try to make you sell more than just an arm for their product. I started searching online about this issue to see if it was common and it seems as though it is. I saw forums with most people saying that adapter stopped working just a few months after getting the product

 While that did solve the problem I just want to share to Corsair that they should really look into a way to prevent or extend the longevity of the USB adapter. No one likes any electronic product to break down within a few months or even a week such as myself. Most gamers only have consoles so they need this adapter to use your product. Also Corsair if you do end up reading this please do not contact me to change my review by providing excellent service to me

Haptic feedback is really solid in the headset. Unfortunately the right cup randomly started popping and cracking for no reason. Had to send it to Corsair to replace it, as by the time it happened Amazon couldn't replace it or refund me. Was a shame

Really neat headset when it works as intended. (Revised)

 Comfort is 8/10. I only issue and this might just be for me, after wearing for a prolong period of time, my left ear kinda hurts and even after readjusting, I still find a pain. I make my reviews honest, real and from personal experience. Your experience might differ

Solid headset

 Reattaching the rings was an unholy and frustrating experience. Took me no lie, almost an hour to attach just one side, until I figured out a smarter-not-harder process - - attach a ring 90% of the way, then stretch the new pad around it. Only thereafter snap the ring the remaining way into place. The other side took me half the time using this method

Pads, which were in great condition, came off in just about 9 months of very light use - - I only put these on for about an hour 5 days of the week. Sound quality is good (7/10), noise canceling is okay (6/10) when you play with the mic positioning, build quality is bad (3/10). After both pads separated on the same day (one fell off, the other started to separate so I just removed it), I was able to see how poorly this part of the headset was manufactured. The lip part of the pad material (bottom you can't see) is stretched and glued to the underside of a plastic ring, which is then forcibly snapped into place onto that side of the headset (left/right)

 If this is a turn off, which it should be, buy another brand (not Corsair) that designed a headset with a mechanism to easily replace pads - this, along with sound quality and noise canceling, should be a prerequisite for any gamer. I put "Made in China" in the title to save everyone some time since that is easily the most searched term for most product listings on Amazon. I won't elaborate on the obvious, so make your own buying decision if "Country of Origin" is important. Unfortunately we have to make concessions for some product types, which either are not made elsewhere or cost significantly more

The best earbuds with a mic for gaming that we've tested are the SteelSeries TUSQ. Unlike other earbuds on this list, these buds have a detachable boom mic, which places the mic very close to your mouth and ensures that your voice sounds very clear and accurate. They have an in-line mic if you want to use the buds more casually. It has a somewhat similar recording quality to the boom mic, but your voice sounds a little less clear.

These buds have a decently comfortable fit with a malleable ear hook design. Their sound profile is very excited and delivers intense thump, rumble, and boom while dialogue and lead instruments remain bright, making them suitable for genres like rock and pop. If you're gaming, their sound profile can help bring out sound effects like footsteps. However, you may find their sound boomy as it can muddy voices in your mix. I wanted to love these so much because I love the concept of a boom mic for better call quality but the earbud itself is too heavy and I find it keeps coming loose and doesn't remain sealed in my ears. The hook helps it from falling off my ear completely but I have to constantly push them back in and after a few hours my ears get sore. Mic was great but just not good fit for my ears. Returned these

These are buds are better than expected for casual PC gaming (wanting/needing to still hear the room). But with the right size ear “pads” the do a great job blocking out sound. The mic has a slight static sound at times, not noticeable by me and not very frequent  But overall pleased with this purchase

 I mean these guys are stinking solid and you truly feel them now, they're, not heavy by any means and when you slap on a skate, see how light they are. You know, then, when you put them in your ears, they're also not heavy as well. But again you definitely feel that quality within them also talking about the wire. It'S not rounded

 So now we are connected with the usbc adapter here, using a mic on a logitech, g333 and honestly going 3.5 or into the usbc adapter. I think it sounds pretty much the exact same on both of them right there, but all in all for a set of earbuds. I definitely think this microphone gets a pass

 You had the bass you had the body within you know, you still had the highs and everything it was very fun. It was immersive, it was perfect, you know what i mean, but again don't expect them to be like beats buds where they're just rumbling, and you hear that really intense bass. That'S not what you get in here. Getting a crisp, clean bass, crisp clean highs, a great immersive, a great detailed, sound and again going into each device

 Do the crazy things to see um so again going into usbc say to the switch or anything like that number one? You got a boost in sound which we're going to talk about here in a second but number two. You got your ability to use controls across every device again, pc, nintendo switch. Your volume controls your pauses right up here or anything like that. So again it really cool to give you the options

 That is also wireless, the gtw 270 hybrid from epos hybrid because of the usbc dongle with low latency optics or bluetooth 5.1 support. It has the most accessories in terms of cables, a little rubber protective cover for the usbc dongle extra silicon tips and the charging case. As well, they are ipx5 water, resistant from light, sweat or rain, hold about five hours of battery life from the single charge, with 15 more hours from the case itself, and it's one of the few wireless earbuds that i would maybe consider gaming worthy because of that Low latency connection via the usbc dongle there's a multi-function button on the left, earbud and despite their size, they don't look terrible

 I would occasionally receive some disconnections or crackles in the audio all right time for the microphone test. What you listen to now is the g333. The thing is, you have to kind of keep the microphone close to your mouth. Otherwise it sounds a bit distant and kind of muted

 So it's not really ideal, but the sound quality is very good. The only thing is that, because the ear tips have really good isolation, it's just really uncomfortable speaking and not being able to hear yourself or hearing yourself in the head. You know what i mean next up is the hyperx cloud earbuds. So the microphone here is slightly closer to your mouth
