I bought these back in September to carry around mobile with my laptop. Was a little cautious since two people I know who owned Corsair mice and headsets ended up replacing them less than 3 years of ownership. But the price of these was pretty attractive, reviews were good, I liked the dark colors, and figured I'd give it a try and hope their customer service was decent.  The audio quality of this headset is pretty average for its price--I wouldn't listen to classical music on these, with my other pair (HyperX Cloud II) definitely superior soundwise

  EDIT: Corsair was quick to respond and sent me a replacement for the amp (no shipping cost), which seems to be doing the trick. Bumped this up a couple stars since they were genuinely interested with fixing what was wrong. They offered to replace the whole headset as well, if the amp fix doesn't work out.

  Durability-wise, these began to break down recently, and finally shat out. Mic has been reduced to robotic quality, headset audio cuts out, and I'm left unplugging and plugging these guys back in until they work. I've kept my headset on my desk and only took it out of the house once, so no chance it could've gotten roughed up in any way.  I've contacted the company for the warranty, so hoping for the best in terms of a replacement or refund

 Sister-in-Law outright refused to use these because they didn't fit her audio quality standards, so if you're that picky, I would spend the extra bucks on something a little bit better.  Comfortability-wise, the ear pieces don't hurt or pinch, which is nice. In the past I've struggled finding a pair that didn't crush my ears, especially since I wear glasses. I can wear this headset literally all day and not feel like my skull is being crushed

Broke pretty quick, but company quick to respond

 This one here where you got your swivel and right here where you got your just I grabbed it up on the headband again, right here and then I pulled it up in the middle and just stretched it out right like there and you can kind of adjust it right to your liking. If you get it too big, bring it back down like this and you're gonna bring it down again. Just a few key points here real quick. Now a couple of quick differences

 And as far as build, they feel a pinch different. Nothing really massive by any means. but on a note, HS 60 the adjustable bit right here feels like a metal right there, so you're gonna get a little bit of noise coming through that metal into those wires on the HS 60 Pro here. Yet this nice little I'd say rubber coating on the outside right there, which again is just gonna reduce some of that noise whenever you're touching the microphone

 You know what? I really want to do with that? That's like my little catch phrase with headset reviews, right? If it's not comfortable, it's not worth it. I Wanted like one of those motivational speeches where it sounds like there's a whole bunch of people in the background. You know? I don't know I just think that'd be cool. probably corny, but I think it's cool, but alright

 a very nice braided cable. By the way, you're gonna get your USB adapter for your 7.1 and everything right there. Sync it up to use the core software on a PC You'll get your detachable microphone and you're gonna get a windscreen

 Basically, I want something with sound like the Soundcore Life 2 NC with the same comfort, I just thought that if i won't be using the wireless feature, might as well cheap out on that and go for better sounding headphones, which lead me to the audiophile section. 

 the usb dongle that came with it was faulty, the sound was absolutely terrible and muddy without it, the only good thing was that they were comfortable to wear. Even with the usb dongle, some female vocals and cymbals, etc was very muddy and worse than the apple earbuds i use with my phone. Is the Sound BlasterX G6 powerful enough for my Hifiman Sundaras?

I'm using an equalizer set to -6 dB preamp and in low gain mode on the G6, 80% is uncomfortably loud.

I have heard some talk about planar magnetic needing a lot of current to be "fully driven", so I'm worried that I'm not amplifying them to their full potential. Am I okay with my current DAC/amp?

Fiio K5 Pro - I've had this dac/amp for a little over a year and never had issues with it until today. For some odd reason, the sound stopped working. The device turns on and the light is blue. It's connected via USB. I uninstalled, reinstalled the drivers, reset my computer a few times.  I'm not a headphone nerd at all and I have a problem with my headphones so I thought I might find some help here.  
My pair of AKG k72's have a static noise sound problem when they are connected to my HP laptop. I tested them on multipile different devices (laptops, desktops, mobiles) and only my laptop creates this problem. Other headphones work perfectly fine on my laptop.  
I found out the sound changes depending on where I sit in my house (even if I keep it plugged in in the same place), which I found pretty interesting. Also when for example I power on/off a lamp, plugged in the same power strip as my computer, the sound changes. Even when I turn on the TV, not connected at all with my pc, the sound gets louder.  
I searched for this problem on internet and I found it might be a grounding problem, so I shouldn't have the problem when my laptop isn't plugged in. I can't test this since my laptop only works when plugged in because the battery broke.  
Any suggestions to what I can do to fix this problem?

I searched for this problem on internet and I found it might be a grounding problem, so I shouldn&#39;t have the problem when my laptop isn&#39;t plugged in. I can&#39;t test this since my laptop only works when plugged in because the battery broke.<br/>

Looking for advice between the Campfire Audio Solaris 2020, Sony IER-Z1R, and UM Mest.

I'm looking for a good pair of IEMs with a good amount of bass, but that still have a decent amount of clarity for vocals. I currently have a set of CA Atlas, but don't really like the sound of the mids on them compared to a BA.

With the Mest, I'm worried I'd get sick of feeling the bone conducting driver shaking my ears. I saw that BGGAR put these up above the IER-Z1R, and unfortunately Crinacle hasn't reviewed them yet afaik.

Finally broke the side piece on my HD 555's. The plastic on the right side connecting to the earpiece finally broke all the way through yesterday. I see a complete headband replacement on the sennheiser website but it's not available anymore. Is there a fix?

Just picked up my first set of audiophile headphones (TYGR 300 R) and had some questions.

Do these need to be EQ’d at all? I know it’s Warzone and the audio is terrible, but I tried these headphones last night and they were very underwhelming. I may have trouble describing what I’m hearing, but I would say they sound flat and muddy (maybe muffled?). These are easy to drive, but I tried my onboard audio vs an E10k and noticed no difference in how they sound.

This is my first set of open back headphones, so I know there will be quite the differences between these and my hyperx cloud 2’s. Is this just my brain not being used to this type of sound signature? If you had me pick which headphone sounded better, I would tell you the cloud 2’s definitely sound better.

I know this shouldn’t be the case as these headphones are highly recommended around here. I’m just wondering how long I should give them or if I should try something else?

Currently have Sennheiser 558 and a fiio e10k, thinking about trying to find something with a little bit more bass on them. Pulled up [drop.com](https://drop.com) and seen the E-MU Purplehearts and the Hifiman HE-400i, I know the price difference between the Hifiman is like double the cost of the E-MU Purplehearts. But would either give me what I'm looking for, with the current fiio e10k?   


Also, I have larger ears, will that be a problem with either headphone, or any other suggestions on what I should look at.

alright guys so i am in need of some purchase advice so here is the template:

Budget: below 60$ without tax pretty firm

source: I will be using these with my desktop pc with 3.5 mm jack, occasionally with my phone, which also has a 3.5mm jack (so rare, ikr)

requirement for isolation: I would prefer closed back, with medium to high noise cancellation, basically like im fine with some good passive noise cancellation with thicc earpads and stuff

i wont really be wearing these headphones in public, really the maximum being my camera on in zoom classes

type of headphones: I want closed back, over ear headphones, with some comfy ear cushions, since this will be my primary audio source for my pc and i will be wearing them for almost 10 hours a day with few breaks

preferred tonal balance: I would like pretty balanced headphones with punchy bass but also clean highs and mids

past headphones: I used to use a pair of Anker Soundcore Life 2 NC's in passive mode since there was an issue with their bluetooth, so i used them with ANC off and they were absolutely amazing. I loved the sound, the bass, and they were just fine for gaming. one of the earcups snapped off the headband tho so im in the market for new headphones. After this, I just bought a Corsair HS60 Pro in hopes of trying gaming headsets, but it was absolutely awful. the usb dongle that came with it was faulty, the sound was absolutely terrible and muddy without it, the only good thing was that they were comfortable to wear. Even with the usb dongle, some female vocals and cymbals, etc was very muddy and worse than the apple earbuds i use with my phone. Basically, I want something with sound like the Soundcore Life 2 NC with the same comfort, I just thought that if i won't be using the wireless feature, might as well cheap out on that and go for better sounding headphones, which lead me to the audiophile section. 

Music: Ok, so my music taste is kinda weird. I like to listen to a lot of Chinese pop, which is sorta slow and not too bassy with mainly female vocals, an example [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C117NWgCJ88). I also love EDM equally, to be specific mostly house and trap, examples [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDCivV_OrHA) and [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQTQrs-2rwQ), respectively. What I would like to improve: If I'm being totally honest here, I really would be fine with buying the Life 2's or whatever the newest updated version of them is, but I thought that I might get something better, which I really can't imagine in my small experience with audio, but I still might. So really, the baseline is the Life 2's, which I don't really know if that is really low, or high.

Overall: I want over ear closed back headphones, I don't mind wired, with a pretty balanced sound, I dont mind a little extra bass as long as it isn't like muddy or something. So, in the research that I did, asking in discords, looking on youtube videos, etc. I found the pairs that had everything I wanted (mostly) to be the Status CB-1's. This has all the things that I wanted, but most of the videos and people said that these headphones didn't have much bass. Now, I don't know how these compare to the Life2's but that's what they had to say. But in most of the discords and reddit posts, they all recommended the Creative Aurvana Live! or Aurvana SE. However, looking at the earpads on those, they do not really look very comfortable or noise-isolating at all (I could be mistaken, but it's pretty obvious). I looked on amazon and really couldn't find any earpads for the Aurvana that looked even remotely as comfortable as the Life2's, when the CB-1's come with really good looking earpads. So, just leave your recommendations in the comments, and hopefully I have all the information you guys need to try and find me a good pair of headphones.

I apologize in advance for being an absolute noob, I'm very new to the audiophile space. I started with just a pair of Fiio FH3's, which I was perfectly satisfied driving directly off of my Pixel 4a. I absolutely fell in love with the hobby, and picked up a pair of Hifiman 400i (2020)'s not soon after for at-home listening.

Now, I'm wanting to pick up an amp for it, but I'm very, very confused as to what I should get. On the one hand, reviews say that the 400i's are relatively easy to drive (my laptop, a ROG Zephyrus G14, which I understand has a Realtek ALC289 chip, seems to be able to drive it to enjoyable volume levels albeit with both the Spotify and laptop volume cranked up to max). On the other hand, people I've asked elsewhere say that as planar magnetic headphones, these are power-hungry cans and need a powerful amp to drive it.

So I turn to the experts to hopefully shed some insight as to choosing "baby's first amp". I've opted to get just an amp for now without a DAC as I'd like to familiarize myself with the SQ of the headphones themselves as tuned. What does the group recommend, considering:
