I really, really liked these at first. They feel premium, like an Elite controller, no creaky plastic..

Bricked after five hours. But, there is hope for this specific problem.

Corsair impressed me last year with its $150 HS75 XB Wireless, an Xbox-exclusive wireless headset that looked and felt more like a high-end set of headphones than a gaming accessory. They also had great sound quality and an easy-to-learn button layout with the right amount of features. It wasn’t necessarily a flaw that they only worked with Xbox consoles, but no one likes to be excluded. The company has now released the HS80 RGB Wireless for the same $150 price with PlayStation compatibility, but these aren’t quite the successor that I was expecting or hoping for

 Corsair says you’ll unlock higher-fidelity audio (24-bit / 90KHz) when it’s plugged directly into your PC, but it didn’t sound drastically better to me. Noticeable, yes, but not so much that I’d consider it the sole feature worth buying these for. There aren’t any PlayStation-specific features that are unlocked with this headset that I noticed, but it’s nice to have another option that works without a fuss on PS5.

One of my favorite improvements is the comfort, which received a boost by switching to a bungee-style headband that helps the headset feel light on your head. Velcro straps can be adjusted on each side of the headset underneath the headband, and it has no issues accommodating my large head. In my brief testing, the fold-up microphone made my voice sound better than I expected it to.

Platform compatibility aside, the HS80 RGB Wireless is a departure from the HS75 XB Wireless in a few welcome and unwelcome ways. This new model’s closed-back design looks great, and it certainly remedies the HS75 XB’s issue of letting too much sound in through its open-back ear cups. But listening while in wireless mode made me realize that I preferred the benefits that the old open-back design helped to deliver, like the warmer, more inviting, and life-like sound.

 I love my Razer Nari for it and I detest Razer devices (especially mice) and software. Honestly I'm bouncing between a few old ones seeing which feels the best. As for which: Astro A40TR (as I recently found my old pair and they still work 5 years later), Razer Nari (for the flex band and earcups), and the Virtuoso for it's connectivity to my RGB setup. Two of those are wireless because I prefer that, however I like the mixamp from Astro enough to forego that

 They don't rest on any part of my ear but I can just barely feel the material touching my ears that I'm frequently adjusting them because it just slightly irritates my ears. The whole headset feels tighter than I expected. I have a hat size of 7 1/2, so it is on the upper end but not oversized, and I'm like maxing the band to the top of the headset. Even my Virtuoso set has more room

It's a more expensive Void...

 What an odd niche to try and fill. UPDATE - So I have been back and forth with Corsair since purchasing this headset (great support, btw - 10 out of 10 for this) - they never led on that the mic would not work across Bluetooth, but everything we tried had no effect. Today I installed a new Logitech mouse on my system - previously had a Corsair unit with their software installed. So if you purchased this unit and have the same issue with the mic not working, toast all Corsair software installed and try again

 Input was just as bad, and dropping out often. Thinking this might be an issue with the BT dongle, I purchased a new BTv4 dongle. No change in performance, audio is still terrible. Looks like these guys will be going back, unfortunately

 Dug up an old BTv2 adapter and the headset connected flawlessly each time - until I actually tried using it. The audio was horrible, output was very tinny and shallow. Input was just as bad, and dropping out often. Thinking this might be an issue with the BT dongle, I purchased a new BTv4 dongle

 I really wanted to like them, but for $150, I personally don’t think it’s worth it with all the downsides. If it was priced around $100, I might have kept them.

 For me, it wasn't super comfortable, although you can probably still wear them for long sessions without issues. I have a medium to large head and the strap is enough for me. It feels a bit too heavy and the clamping force is on the strong side. The on/off button has some issues

 Out of the box sound quality is pretty average at best, with weak bass. Note, I never messed with the EQ settings so it's possible this can be fixed with some tweaking. Games might sound fine and if you don’t care about really good sound quality for anything else. Mic quality is actually really solid, but unfortunately really quiet

Okay, so the wireless dongle presents as a standard USB headset, so you can in fact plug it into any device with a USB port, but without Corsair's iCue drivers and software, the result is not worth the price of the product. Note that this device does not have either Bluetooth or 3.5 mm jack support, so the USB dongle is your only connection option. This said, I am quite happy with the price / performance when running on my Windows 10 Gaming PC

Corsair's iCue software is reasonable stable, but it is a bit bloated (because it supports pretty much every PC peripheral that Corsair has ever sold in one big download). My particular system can handle it just fine, but it might not be the best choice for an older or slower PC

Worth the price if PC-only is an acceptable tradeoff.

 I think the earpads are a downgrade from the wired version, but aside from that it's been like my ideal headset. It's still comfy, but not as comfy as the wired Alphas. Replaceable earpads like Wicked cushions worked and fit for me and are a big improvement over the default. The headband extension is about the same as the wired Alphas

 The battery icon changes based on integer percentages (90%, but no 90.1%). The 300 hour battery claim seems to be accurate so far. Also the power button on the headset that tells the battery only updates every 10%, so it'll only tell 100%, 90%, 80%, and so on

Hello friends, I am waiting for the hyperx cloud alpha wireless headset, which runs for 300 hours from January, and there is no news about its release on Amazon or another site. Does anyone have any news?  And I honestly will buy it because it runs up to 300 hours. For those who tried it, do you recommend it and is it worth it?  Thank you

Walking back into the scene hi, so that's what would happen if you were to walk away from your computer and, unfortunately, the signal strength isn't as good six meters away, but i'm pretty sure that's because the bandwidth here is so high that you have to be fairly Close to the dongle for it to completely, you know slipstream that 24 bit signal for both your audio and the microphone now comfort wise, they went with a flexible, adjustable strap with velcro instead of headband size extensions. This approach is fine for small to medium heads, but might be less forgiving for larger fits. It is the reason why i don't run steelseries headsets

 The microphone is removable, so they at least got that right, and then we have the barracuda x from razer. So completely bare bones package. No drivers necessary just plug and play solution, also a fun little thing to test. Let'S see if this works right now, i'm six meters away in approximate location where the audio signal

 I gave them all the info and they happily took in my earbuds and gave me a replacement. Fantastic service but always be patient with customer service.  Overall great price, great product compared to all the other overpriced earbuds out there.

I do not like the earbuds that are squishy, I find that they get so gross quickly and feels wrong squishing into my ear.  These earbuds style are great that they just sit in your ear. I find it so much nicer compared to all the others. I use these all the time

 I contacted them because the case wouldn't hold a charge and told them it been dropped several times. They asked for who I bought it from and information on the purchase order and the serial number. I gave them all the info and they happily took in my earbuds and gave me a replacement. Fantastic service but always be patient with customer service

The fact that the noise cancellation here is more or less a dud isn&rsquo;t really a deal breaker&mdash;without it, it&rsquo;s not crazy to imagine Razer still selling the second-gen Hammerhead True Wireless for $130. So think of the very limited ANC as an inclusion that can&rsquo;t hurt, amongst multiple features that are solid. The audio performance itself is quite good, and if the LEDs and customizable EQ draw you in, you&rsquo;re unlikely to be disappointed by the overall performance. That said, there are plenty of sub-$150 true wireless options that we&rsquo;re fans of

 A tap and hold for two seconds cycles between ANC and Ambient modes. A double tap skips forward a track (or switches between calls), a triple tap skips backward, and a double tap while holding the last tap for two seconds decreases the volume on the left earbud or increases it on&nbsp;the right. Obviously these controls could be simplified a bit, but Razer allows for customization of the taps in the app, and generally speaking, the controls are fairly easy to operate, although the panels aren't the most sensitive we&rsquo;ve tested.

Bill Callahan&rsquo;s &ldquo;Drover,&rdquo; a track with far less deep bass in the mix, gives us a better sense of the general sound signature. The drums on this track get some extra bass depth, and Callahan&rsquo;s baritone vocals have a strong low-mid richness to them, but nothing that sounds overdone or unnatural. There&rsquo;s plenty of high-mid presence, giving the vocals some added treble edge and bringing out the detail in the guitar work and higher-register percussion. The EQ in the app is quite good&mdash;the lows can be dialed up to insane levels or subtly adjusted, and the highs can be sculpted to taste as well

Razer Hammerhead True Wireless (2nd Gen) Review

Gaming mode on the Hammerheads cuts audio latency down to 60ms, which is enough to avoid any sync issues that could quickly pull you out of the action. But when it’s enabled, you’ll need to stay closer to your device than normal for optimal performance; Razer recommends keeping within two feet. The buds have Bluetooth 5.2 and didn’t exhibit any problematic cutouts or other bugs in my time testing them so far

Like all Bluetooth earbuds, the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds can be used without agreeing to anything in software. But the app plays a key role in customizing the controls, EQ settings, and more.

 And by default, that’s how you control volume — something you’ll want to do often! Frustratingly, you can’t assign volume to the simpler hold gesture (or any of the others). There were also times when the touch controls stopped responding until I cased the earbuds and pulled them out again, so Razer has more work to do with firmware updates.

Audio meter: the RGB lighting reacts to the music being played. You can choose to have this effect work with a single color — where it honestly just looks like the light is on the fritz — or rapidly cycle through an endless array of different hues.

I'm coming from using first-gen AirPods so I have limited experience with these types of products.  These feel and sound amazing. I tried using Amazon Echo Buds but had to gift them to my wife, as the inner-ear style just doesn't work well for me.  These feel like the traditional AirPods style in the ear

 No issues with desynced audio or any type of distortion. To activate gaming mode, you tap three times and hold on the third. You do the same to disengage it.  I'm impressed with the case

 I popped it back in and made sure it was situated nice and snug, and then took off running again and the right earbud fell out. This time I was expecting it, so I caught it and then carefully walked back to my house to get a beanie to pull over my ears so these headphones would stay in. Before getting that beanie out of my closet I wrote this review, during which time one earbud or the other would start falling out of my ear if I swallowed or moved my jaw in a certain way. That wasn't a joke, it literally happened

 And before you write off this review because you think my ears are enormous, I've been wearing wired earbuds my whole life without a problem. Unfortunately, these earbuds are just not quite good enough. Maybe they'll get it right if they make Hammerheads 2.

 That is absolute garbage and I cannot possibly advise that anyone buy these. For this price point Razer has completely missed the quality mark and there are far superior options available elsewhere. I am certainly glad we bought a third party warranty with these, as I will be filing for a complete refund versus bothering with a third set.

 I will update our review if the second set is any better, but this is extremely disappointing for the price Razer is charging.  (Update after receiving a replacement set) The replacement set was fine for a few weeks, but the right ear bud died outright eventually. At first it was fine, then would only charge to about 50%, and now it will not charge or power on at all. Two sets of these, back to back, with failures

Hopefully we just got a bad set, but the left ear bud began having volume issues in less than ten days of light use.
