Corsair VIRTUOSO RGB WIRELESS XT vs Sony WH-1000XM5

Personally the pleather doesn't bother me but comfort is subjective for the corsair XT since round earcups isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Orchestral tracks, like the opening scene from John Adams’ The Gospel According to the Other Mary, have an ideal balance between lower-register instrumentation and higher-register brass, strings, and vocals. The deepest lows are delivered with a natural presence—most of the time, the lows are playing a more subtle anchoring role in the mix, with the higher-register orchestral elements in the spotlight.

What can i say, i love my full metal corsair products, the RGB is really cool how they have the ring around the mic! The audio is great when its in the wireless mode and its even better when you use the Aux cord. The pressure on my ears isn't a problem because of the soft foam inside The headset fits great tho its not the softest head padding Yeeeeeeee yeeee Over all i would say you cant go wrong here, a must buy! Edit: after using it for awhile i would it needs some softer head padding

The added clarity and detail is particularly beneficial on tracks where you have several instruments playing at the same time (rock music, for instance). You can hear each instrument more distinctly compared to the XM4. The soundstages of the two headphones are similar -- they're both pretty spacious -- but you may have to take up the volume on the XM5  to get more of a visceral listening experience. That said, there's nothing wrong with the XM5's volume: These headphones play plenty loud and don't distort at higher volumes

Wireless: The dongle provided is built strong and looks good. Functionally awesome too considering I can walk around my apartment without losing audio or mic connection. Comfort: Comfy but a bit too snug. The snugness does help with sound isolation though

That's disappointing, but the good news is the XM5 weighs 4 grams less than the XM4, tipping the scales at a relatively svelte 250 grams. They're also more comfortable to wear. They fit my head snugly but don't have that overly clamped feeling.The new model has a single hinge and the headband has been redesigned

I'm writing this review on day 3 of owning, and these are the perfect well-rounded pair of wireless headphones. These replaced the Void Pro headset of mine and while I thought the Void Pros were top tier a year ago, the XT makes the Void lineup look like Skullcandy. The headset is nice and light, has an above average microphone, dual connection between dongle/bluetooth at the same time, and even a 3.5mm port for an external DAC
