HyperX Cloud Stinger

(1/1)

I acknowledge that this might be hard to find given I want wireless. These would be used for music during my workday, gaming, occasional travel and just chillin' at home. (I use earbuds for work calls). I am open to getting a separate mic as well for gaming purposes

Sound Quality

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/2)

I am returning these and going for the Sennheiser set and hopefully the sound quality, setup and design will be better with those, even though the reviews are kind of terrible too. Also, they took forever to get here. I ordered them on the 9th and they got here on the 14th. Not as quick as advertised when buying

HyperX Cloud Stinger

(1/2)

While it's primarily a gaming headset, the Cloud Stinger plays music fairly well. It handled our bass test track, The Knife's "Silent Shout," without a hint of distortion even at maximum volumes. It doesn't reach too deep into the sub-bass realm, however; both the kick drum and bass synth hits lack the powerful head-shaking thump that headphones with strong low-end reproduce them with. There's some force in the lows and low-mids, but there isn't any subwoofer-like rumble behind them

Battery Life

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

This is the third Corsair product I've encountered issues with, either within a very short amount of time using or out of the box. The wireless function of the headset is nice and convenient, the headset is comfortable, and the audio quality is good AFTER installing iCUE and setting your preferences. The battery life is abysmal. My product had issues out of the box, where it will not charge beyond 78% regardless of how long it is charging, and the battery drains at what seems like a very quick pace (two hours and half that 78% charge is gone)

Durability

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

I can unplug them in the morning and be absolutely certain they will get me through a full work day. If I forget to charge them at night, they will still be fine for at least a few hours the next morning. Their connectivity has been rock solid - never disconnected unless I disconnect them by walking too far away, and then reconnecting instantly. I also love the flip-up micr acting as a mute switch not visible to others on a Zoom call

HyperX Cloud Stinger

* **What would you like to improve on from your set-up** \- I am mostly looking for a really comfortable pair of headphones that I can wear for 6-8 hours for both gaming and music/movies/etc... I would also like to note that I would rather use a setup that does not include a AMP as that would more than likely go over my budget for now, so I would prefer a pair of headphones that wouldn't need an AMP

Price Point

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

These are not worth the price at all. I typically buy headphones that I can switch between gaming and recording audio on, and I can already tell that trying to record music with these is going to be useless. I am returning these and going for the Sennheiser set and hopefully the sound quality, setup and design will be better with those, even though the reviews are kind of terrible too. Also, they took forever to get here

Fit

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/2)

Comfortable headset for larger head, falls off of smaller heads. The ear cuffs rotate so you can lay the headset flat on the table. The ear cuffs are comfortable and not hot. Decent quality audio and mic

HyperX Cloud Stinger

(1/2)

99 wired gaming headset that feels comfortable and offers solid audio performance and very good microphone quality. You can get a slightly better-sounding headset by spending a bit more, but if you're on a strict budget, the Cloud Stinger is an excellent choice.

Noise Cancellation

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

Love this headset! I have a newborn at home and these are perfect for work calls since I am working from home. it is noise cancelling enough and I love that the microphone mutes automatically when you lift it up so if i need to yell something out at home, no one on the call can hear. Would highly recommend

Somewhat better noise-canceling compared to other gaming headsets but headset could be louder for a better in game experience.
