Sound Quality

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/2)

I am returning these and going for the Sennheiser set and hopefully the sound quality, setup and design will be better with those, even though the reviews are kind of terrible too. Also, they took forever to get here. I ordered them on the 9th and they got here on the 14th. Not as quick as advertised when buying

Sennheiser HD600

(1/5)

These headphones are a testimony to the phrase "old is gold". Despite being 25 years old, these cans still produce the best natural frequency response and timbre that I have heard out of any headphone, and I have owned alot of headphones. Here are just some of the models I have owned previously. Focal Clear, Focal Elex, HiFiMan Ananda, Sundara, HE-4XX, HE-5XX, HE-400i, Sennheiser HD560S, HD599, Phillips X2HR, Phillips SHP 9500, DCA ÆON Closed X, DCA ÆON Open X, Monoprice M570, ATH-M50X, Beyer DT990 Premium, Fostex T50RP, Fostex Dekoni Blue, and many more

Durability

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

I can unplug them in the morning and be absolutely certain they will get me through a full work day. If I forget to charge them at night, they will still be fine for at least a few hours the next morning. Their connectivity has been rock solid - never disconnected unless I disconnect them by walking too far away, and then reconnecting instantly. I also love the flip-up micr acting as a mute switch not visible to others on a Zoom call

Sennheiser HD600

I’d always find myself going back to my old wired Sony MDR-XB500’s they sounded much better than most of my Bluetooth headphones. Plus they’ve outlasted them by about 16 years. Hopefully these will last me a lifetime too. I have these powered by my FiiO DAC / AMP on my laptop, which is what you’re hearing in the video

Price Point

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

These are not worth the price at all. I typically buy headphones that I can switch between gaming and recording audio on, and I can already tell that trying to record music with these is going to be useless. Also, they took forever to get here

Fit

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/2)

Comfortable headset for larger head, falls off of smaller heads. The ear cuffs rotate so you can lay the headset flat on the table. The ear cuffs are comfortable and not hot. Decent quality audio and mic

Sennheiser HD600

(1/2)

I’m not a headphone expert, though I have been using them in one form or another dating back to 1977, so a good 40 years on everything from the old Koss white eggshell looking things to Sony’s 1980s on the ear to noise canceling Sony and Bose phones. But for music (hi-fi) my AKGs had been my reference until they were damaged. But this review concerns some AKG K-712s that I purchased at the same time as the Sennheisers specifically to test. In truth I picked up the AKGs after being disappointed with the HD600s; feeling like something was missing

Sennheiser HD600

(1/2)

It's leagues ahead of typical consumer headphones and hangs or even exceeds multi-thousand dollar pairs in frequency response and timbre. I have personally sold all of my other headphones besides the HD600, it's that good. These are a tried and tested design that will last you years, unlike many other competitors around this price. *cough* HiFiMan *cough* My only other complaint is the comfort

Noise Cancellation

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

Love this headset! I have a newborn at home and these are perfect for work calls since I am working from home. it is noise cancelling enough and I love that the microphone mutes automatically when you lift it up so if i need to yell something out at home, no one on the call can hear. Would highly recommend

Then again, buying Bose is usually for the convenience or noise cancelling. So I don't complain much as audio quality usually isn't their main priority.
