Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/2)

The AirPod Pros have been my personal preference for true wireless after testing regularly AirPods, AirPod pro, Samsung Galaxy Bud Lives, and Sony WF-1000XM3’s for overall comfort and ANC, although I think each earbud set has different benefits for different people.

Sound Quality

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/2)

I am returning these and going for the Sennheiser set and hopefully the sound quality, setup and design will be better with those, even though the reviews are kind of terrible too. Also, they took forever to get here. I ordered them on the 9th and they got here on the 14th. Not as quick as advertised when buying

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/4)

The Beats Powerbeats Pro have slightly bigger bass, but I thought these Sonys have more refined sound and are more articulate overall. You can tweak the sound settings in the companion app, but like with the WH-1000XM3, I didn't think playing around with the EQ offered any improvements in the sound quality (I ultimately ended up leaving it in the "flat" setting).Aside from the call quality in loud environments, the only other real strike against this model is that it's not listed as being sweatproof or water-resistant. I like to run with my true wireless earphones and these stayed in my ears pretty securely despite not having any sport fins

Battery Life

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

This is the third Corsair product I've encountered issues with, either within a very short amount of time using or out of the box. The wireless function of the headset is nice and convenient, the headset is comfortable, and the audio quality is good AFTER installing iCUE and setting your preferences. The battery life is abysmal. My product had issues out of the box, where it will not charge beyond 78% regardless of how long it is charging, and the battery drains at what seems like a very quick pace (two hours and half that 78% charge is gone)

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/1)

I'm testing these right now on an iPhone 12 Max Pro but I'll switch them out to my OnePlus 7 Pro tomorrow. I haven't tested battery yet as I just received them. I'll have a better idea by the weekend.

Durability

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

I can unplug them in the morning and be absolutely certain they will get me through a full work day. If I forget to charge them at night, they will still be fine for at least a few hours the next morning. Their connectivity has been rock solid - never disconnected unless I disconnect them by walking too far away, and then reconnecting instantly. I also love the flip-up micr acting as a mute switch not visible to others on a Zoom call

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/1)

Don't use it for a workout, you will damage it, it will violate the warranty and it is not suitable for it. I do agree that the Sony WF-1000XM3 have the best sound quality on wireless earbuds but you definitely want to have something different for workouts. The stock tips are definitely not suitable for it, I had to use Spinfit CP 360 tips for these earbuds to stay in my ear but they were definitely worth the money. People also use foam tips which helps

Price Point

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

These are not worth the price at all. I typically buy headphones that I can switch between gaming and recording audio on, and I can already tell that trying to record music with these is going to be useless. I am returning these and going for the Sennheiser set and hopefully the sound quality, setup and design will be better with those, even though the reviews are kind of terrible too. Also, they took forever to get here

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/1)

That’s a good price. I will say headphones in this range aren’t actually worse sounding than more expensive consumer-oriented sets like Bose QC35 and Sony WH-1000XM3. Less features, but solid driver and balanced sound. Good value

Fit

Corsair Void RGB Elite

Comfortable headset for larger head, falls off of smaller heads. The ear cuffs rotate so you can lay the headset flat on the table. The ear cuffs are comfortable and not hot. Decent quality audio and mic

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/4)

But Sony is back. The new WF-1000XM3 earbuds, launching in August for $229.99, address many of my complaints about the original product. They fit better, look nicer, exhibit very little signal loss, and have improved battery life

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/3)

In a clever design move, Sony put an extra-grippy finish on the bottom section of the earbud that rests in your ear, and this helps keep everything even more snug.

Noise Cancellation

Corsair Void RGB Elite

(1/1)

Love this headset! I have a newborn at home and these are perfect for work calls since I am working from home. it is noise cancelling enough and I love that the microphone mutes automatically when you lift it up so if i need to yell something out at home, no one on the call can hear. Would highly recommend

Sony WF-1000XM3

(1/3)

If you did a double-take on the model number, that's because Sony also makes a popular over-ear noise-canceling headphone called the WH-1000XM3, the current CNET Editors' Choice for full-size noise-canceling headphones. For this new true wireless model, Sony skipped the Mark 2 and went straight to the Mark 3 in an effort to unify the current model numbers of its flagship 1000X headphone line.
