Now I ordered this product expecting 16GB of RAM, a GTX 1650, and a 9th gen i7 processor. I received a laptop with 8GB of RAM, but a GTX 1650 Ti, and a 10th gen i7 processor, that does not look anything like the pictures. Still a G5, but very misleading. Not What I Ordered

Looking at buying a new dell xps 17 as they came out on the store yesterday in the us before today in Australia I had looked at the price and had assumed they would be similar.

 The heavy weight and loud fans compare unfavorably to the lighter and generally quieter Lenovo Legion Y740 which comes equipped with the same CPU and GPU options as our Dell. Heavy gaming laptops are understandable, but they should be quieter to make up for the weight and the G7 17 unfortunately has the worst of both worlds.

EDIT 9/29: thank you all for the responses—I wasn’t expecting so many! After some more consideration, the M1 MacBook Air sounds like it might actually be a better option than a gaming-specific laptop. I’ll wait and see what the M1X release looks like, but for now I’ll stick with an Apple product. Again I appreciate all of the help and suggestions!

The laptop I recieved was not capable of the specs that were listed. The build quality was terrible. It was supposed to a Dell xps 13 9310 but it had the look and feel of a Dell 3100 chromebook.  Love the keyboard. I'm a mechanical-keyboard type of person, and while I typically hate low-profiles, I liked the keyboard on this laptop enough that it was the decision-making factor when it came down to a few options. Handles smaller games great, professional looking and would recommend to anyone using it for non-webcam related purposes.  Update: Some serious graphical glitches came with this laptop

 The battery life is very short (4ish hours) and it takes a long time to charge (about 1 1/2 hours). The brick on the cord gets very hot as it charges as does the bottom of the laptop. Otherwise it runs cool. I really like that there is no separate place to plug in the charger

Laptop seems to be working "ok" as of now besides the WiFi issues everyone has been having and apps like Netflix and Hulu not properly working. Another thing that is concerning is the packaging. I'm pretty sure I was sent a used product considering it came in a cheap cardboard box and not in it's original XPS box/packaging.
