Dell S3422DWG vs Dell S2721DGF

I’m leaning towards the Dell because I’ve heard that on a certain setting the smearing and other issues with VA mostly go away, so I’d only have to worry about viewing angles. I do plan to keep it as my main monitor so I don’t think it’d be an issue. Also, the VA panel I’ve heard would benefit me since I mostly watch movies with the exception of playing some open world games so I don’t know if IPS would benefit me in that regard. All in all, if I were you, I’d consider the conditions you plan to use your monitor

If feels quality. I am comparing this to the MSI 24 VA curved panel in one of the photos. Viewing angles are much nicer than the curved monitor. Really glad I went with an IPS this time

It is a Dell S3422DWG -- curved, 3440 by 1440, 144 hz, and 1ms response time. The website says the monitor is new in box and working.

The panel I got did not have any major backlight bleed. There was a bit of a noticeable IPS glow in the bottom left corner, but it was not any worse than other IPS panels that I've seen. I almost sent this back over backlight bleed, but after reading some articles online, I was able to eliminate the bad cloudy spots with a clean microfiber cloth and with very light pressure wiped around the problem spots. I am blown away at how much better it looks now. Of course there always will be some bleed, but it was bad and distracting in a couple spots. Non issue now
