These headphones sound great and are very affordable, but just know what you are getting. If you're looking for some great sounding headphones to listen to around your house using a headphone amp, these would be a great buy. But if you're looking for something to take to the gym, or use at work you'll probably want to look elsewhere. Pros - Excellent sound quality

Very Clean with a real nice clarity to them. It’s definitely balanced over all, nothing is trying to out do the other frequencies, though there is a little lift in the bass and in the treble region, the mid range seems pretty level and maybe a pinch upper mid lift as well, as the vocals come in nicely as well with no recess. For me, this isn’t my favorite tuning, but I will say the tuning is done pretty excellent for what they went after, and add the price in, these are a bargain without a doubt, though I do like the Starfields a touch better, though they’re almost identical, I like the color and shape of the Starfield, and I think the Soundstage is just a smudge larger and more precise, which with them I can really get lost with my eyes close pinpointing where the sounds are, not that these can’t, they can, just slightly less, but factor in the cost, you can’t go wrong with these. I do get a craving for more bass with these, as it just seems not enough, though I do get a natural feel to the sounds with them, in though when I listen to Classical Rock, such as AC/DC “Thunderstruck”, the guitar comes in nicely with the vocals, and then the drums kick in, all is clear and clean, I just feel like I want more Mmmmph! to it, some more meat, as it sounds a little lean, even though everything comes in nicely

My wife disagrees, but I think movies sound punchier and more intimate on grado cans. And they have the side benefit of letting two people listen to something and just talk like nothing since they leak like mad. But again, all round? These babies, hands down.

This time the right channel made a soft pop. Now the earphone that I do have barely gets to a listenable level at full volume on my phone and has the same tinny-ness as the left. The quality control of these units is awful and the process of getting anything about it fixed at all is more of a hastle and wait than I am willing to go through again (keep in mind it's been three months since I've recieved the headphones and not only are neither working properly anymore, but half of that time was spent with only one earphone anyway).

Comfort

Drop + HIFIMAN HE4XX

(1/2)

All-day comfortable with ease (they can get a tiny bit warm with the alcantara pads in a hot room, but not even close to unacceptable) and utterly zero squeaks or creaks (looking at you, Audio Technica AD700's) The one, ONLY gripe I have with them is the nice cable they have is too short for anything other than a desktop amp or device RIGHT in front of you. BUT, it's replaceable, and lots of companies make cables for them. Side benefit is you can get a balanced cable for them, and if you get a BTR5 as well, that amp has a balanced output option. So they can sound EVEN BETTER

Sound Quality: Mostly neutral, slightly warm but you still get plenty of mid and treble detail and sparkle while never being painful. Bass is present but these are not for bass-heads. It's got thump when needed but it's not going to blow your head up with bass. Voices are clear and forward but not in any extreme way

Fit

Drop + HIFIMAN HE4XX

(1/1)

It's not long enough for comfortable PC/ living room AV receiver use for me, so I ordered a replacement cable when I bought the headphone. The replacement cable is that red one that everybody else is buying. I clipped the "braided" part off, and now they're really cool looking red cables. They click really nicely into the headphones - better click than the stock cable

The fit is rather nice and the cables have a sheath over the hook parts so they will hold their shape, but are rather flexible. Even though the monitors are made of metal, they don't feel all too heavy since they insert nicely into the ear canal and can sit nearly flush with your ears. Like I said before, the cable can be bothersome with its cable noise, but when the music is blasting it's barely noticeable. The sound
