These headphones sound great and are very affordable, but just know what you are getting. If you're looking for some great sounding headphones to listen to around your house using a headphone amp, these would be a great buy. But if you're looking for something to take to the gym, or use at work you'll probably want to look elsewhere. Pros - Excellent sound quality

Sennheiser HD 650

Sennheiser HD 650 review: These professional over-ear headphones are great for audiophiles and professionals. They offer great audio reproduction and amazing frequency response. They also well a built-quality design. However these headphones are not cheap, that depends on you will pay for HD 650?Sennheiser HD 650 – Pro Audio Open-Backover-ear, acoustic silk designed (to ensure precision damping over the entire frequency range), high power neodymium magnetics, extreme lightweight, detachable cable, exceptional natural/spatial/accurate soundChoosing which Sennheiser headphones to purchase could be an extremely challenging task

My wife disagrees, but I think movies sound punchier and more intimate on grado cans. And they have the side benefit of letting two people listen to something and just talk like nothing since they leak like mad. But again, all round? These babies, hands down.

Sennheiser HD 650

It comes with a firm headband, however not too tight which makes extending listening is full fun and pleasure. Like its predecessor, the Sennheiser 650 generates a laid-back tonal which is best illustrated as warm and rich, most essentially in the acoustic genre.Sennheiser HD650 has made a fine metal mesh in order to moisten the movement of the drivers, as a result minimizing resonance making the highs extremely clean. The hand-chosen drivers provide precise left and right matching tolerances with the feature of a computer-optimized neodymium magnet system to lessen distortion

Comfort

All-day comfortable with ease (they can get a tiny bit warm with the alcantara pads in a hot room, but not even close to unacceptable) and utterly zero squeaks or creaks (looking at you, Audio Technica AD700's) The one, ONLY gripe I have with them is the nice cable they have is too short for anything other than a desktop amp or device RIGHT in front of you. BUT, it's replaceable, and lots of companies make cables for them. Side benefit is you can get a balanced cable for them, and if you get a BTR5 as well, that amp has a balanced output option. So they can sound EVEN BETTER

QC35 is still the most comfortable headphone I've worn. Close second are the sennheiser 650.

It's not long enough for comfortable PC/ living room AV receiver use for me, so I ordered a replacement cable when I bought the headphone. The replacement cable is that red one that everybody else is buying. I clipped the "braided" part off, and now they're really cool looking red cables. They click really nicely into the headphones - better click than the stock cable

I just wanted to hear what the Asgard3 did to the 650s without having another set of headphones colouring my opinion. So why did I say yes, what’s improved? Let’s go back to my original criteria

Durability

Sennheiser HD 650

The HD 650s' 9-foot Y cable is user-replaceable, and that's a good thing because over the years, cables inevitably break. The cable is terminated with a 1/4-inch plug, and a high-quality miniplug adapter is included.
