After four weeks the cheap Halo-brand keys started flaking out. First the V key, then the R. They were so noisy people asked me to mute my zoom calls, and these aren't the colicky model. A Keyboard that DOESN'T SUCK!

 I found that if I used the QMK firmware that is provided on GitHub and flashed that the problems I was experiencing disappeared. So, the online configurator that DROP provides delivers flawed firmware, which was causing the issues. Why they are behind an active open-source communities modifications baffles me. My best guess is that it is due to the generic online QMK configurator not supporting every lighting configuration that the DROP keyboard supports (e

 As soon as I switched back to my Ducky keyboard, it was night and day as far as key press response goes. When I contacted support about the USB and power on issues, and they told me they could not help me and I should ask in the community forums. It was at that point that I boxed it up and plugged in my Ducky One 3 TKL. I will be giving up the QMK customizations but shedding a company that does not care to support their products, which is a fair trade in my book

They rattled terribly and the switches (Halo True) we're scratchy and not nearly as tactile as everyone makes it out to be

Although the software is powerful, QMK configurators can sometimes feel a little unintuitive to use. The best version I’ve come across is Via, which is the configurator that Keychron’s boards use. But Drop’s instructions are much less intuitive and point you towards its own configurator and its own software for customizing the Mythic Journey’s layout. One of the steps, which you’ll find on a separate GitHub page, involves literally running a terminal command to flash your new layout to your keyboard

As well as customizing the Mythic Journey’s keycaps and switches, you can also customize its layout thanks to its support for QMK. It means that you can remap its keys however you want and have this new layout saved directly to the keyboard to be carried between whatever devices you plug it into. 

 They’re not exactly quiet, but they’re not as loud as clicky switches like Cherry’s MX Blue. Oh, and the keyboard’s stabilizers (the mechanisms under longer keys that stop them from wobbling) are sturdy, with minimal rattle.

 But Drop’s instructions are much less intuitive and point you towards its own configurator and its own software for customizing the Mythic Journey’s layout. One of the steps, which you’ll find on a separate GitHub page, involves literally running a terminal command to flash your new layout to your keyboard. Drop tells me it has a simplified configurator on the way, which is good news because the current process kinda sucks.

A solid keyboard, but not quite $349 solid

 Make it more user friendly and I’ll come back to buy a keyboard. Returning this one and going with gmmk.

 I had also asked about purchasing extra feet, just in case I did lose them, and the response was almost exactly the same for both, they order the keyboards from a company in China, they don't keep any stock on hand, and do not sell serviceable parts, even though the company is in California, and they are supposed to uphold the "Right To Repair" law. I had asked them for a vendor contact, and the refused to offer that also. Save your money, it isn't worth a 1/4 of the price, I have had similar build keyboards for $50-80.

I am a professional software developer, that loves video games, and has been working on computers since the 80's when mechanical keyboards where your only options. This keyboard is amazing! Hands down worth every cent.

If this keyboard was a car, it would be a handed down Ford Focus with 200k on the odometer.

I had to see what all the hype and drama was about for these switches. I waited quite a while though for I had hoped that drop would have corrected their mistakes to make the community take back to their likening but I was sorely mistaken. Half of the pandas came factory pre lubed, even thought they had claimed otherwise, while the other half was slightly scratchy and dry (which is preferred). It isn’t all to bad though

  Less than 5% of the switches I inspected and tested had audible spring ping, but with lube, this is not an issue.  The housings on all switches had no noticeable wobble, so I won't be filming these.  Other than the varying spring free lengths and a few switches with spring ping, these switches work, feel, and sound as expected of Holy Pandas.  Update: Opened up the rest of the switches and found more inconsistencies

Latest batch QC is better but springs still unequal lengths

 They have plenty of tactile feel, and QC was perfect in the batch of 90 I got. The only complaint is the price.
