 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

 The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see. Um the back panel itself, um, it's just slightly longer here, but it's basically the same thing. That does make a difference later, though, when we talk about laptops and how laptops work in here, but aside from that um that are those are the only exterior differences that you can see

 Sadly the strap made it back from two trips but is somewhere on the Art Loeb trail now. The water bottle pockets are also too far back and pack has to be removed to access these.

Not the perfect pack

 I carried a Gregory [Zulu 40]([URL REMOVED] on a month-long trip to NZ last year. It's not a true clamshell opening (a large U zip opens up almost the entire bag), but the suspension was so amazing, I couldn't pass it up. It holds the bag away from your back so breathability is vastly improved. They make a 30L version

Might be a bit of a stretch, but thought it would be worth an ask!

I'm thinking of buying my bf a quality travel backpack, clamshell opening, about 30L... the thing is that he sweats a LOT.

Are there any bags out there that might have these features with good back ventilation? I'm thinking something with suspended back mesh that keeps the actual bag away from your back. I've been looking, but the only bags I've found with this are hiking bags (??). Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge/input!

Gregory Zulu 35 Day Pack

 They have created a u-shaped zipper that they've added to the front of the pack. So if I unleash these top compression straps on the sides, kind of show that there is a large u-shaped zipper right on the front of the pack, so that's going to allow you to access the middle contents as well as the bottom content. So that zipper goes all the way down to about the bottom of the pack right, where these gear loops are but easy to access all the contents in the middle. Here I just kind of got it stuffed out with some bags to show the size, but you can see that it's very simple and easy to get into that interior of the bag, some additional pockets on the bag

 We'Ve got two water bottle pockets on the side. So each side has a stretch, mesh pocket, kind of that standard, water, bottle pocket or gear pocket on the front. We do have this large stretch, mesh pocket as well, that's great for an extra layer, maybe some other items that you want quick and easy access to, and there are compression straps on that pocket that will clip in to cinch that gear down or let it hang Loose depending on what you have in there on the hood, we do have two pockets. So on the back side of the hood, there is a large pocket

 It does have a hood and there are some straps up there, as well, so to access the main contents. You'Ve simply got two buckles on the front, just throw that hood back and you can get into that top spin drift collar. There is a strap on the front here that kind of goes over the top of the pack, so it acts as compression. You can lash a rope there if you're, taking a pack out climbing but really easy to undo that and access the toggle here so to open that up, you can just kind of grab and pull opens that up really wide and you've got easy access to all The contents at the top of the bag, sometimes you've, got things buried at the bottom of the bag that you don't want to have to dump all your contents to get to Gregory's definitely thought of that

 It'S got an X configuration there, so it really helps to support and stabilize the pack while maintaining a lot of flexibility. We do have a suspended mesh back panel here, so, as I mentioned, it is that cross flow system, so you've got a lot of airflow coming through the back panel here, there's actually spacing between the portion that touches your back and the bag itself. So you've got a lot of breathability there and that mesh is very lightweight, very porous and breathes and wicks moisture really well down in the base in the lumbar area. You'Ve got some nice EBA padding, so you've got really good cushion against the lower back and in the shoulder harness and in the waist belt
