 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 The bottom is flat, so i think packed out this bag will stand up on its own.  Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

So we got up early again today to get some miles in early and made it all the way to mount laguna, which was like nine ish miles away by like 10 in the morning, which was such a treat, it's so cool being in these towns that i've Been like looking at the names of for so long and like finally being there, it's just a real experience. So this is my first resupply box. I have way too much food, but luckily there are plenty of hungry hikers here, so i'm gon na filter through this box - and i have a so much better idea of at least for right now, what i'll eat and what i won't eat um

 So i just wanted to show you the wall where it all starts, and there was definitely like a handful of people at the beginning of the terminus. So i'm just gon na show you a picture of the terminus itself and i think the best way to start this adventure is to not say anything else and to just actually start it. I'M so excited mexico, california, mexico, [, Music, ], california, let's walk to canada, baby [, Music, ], [, Music, ], so [, Music, ], [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], so [ Applause, ], [, Music, ], [, Music, ], the last water source for maybe 15 or So more miles all right, so we are just leaving the first water sources like 4.4 miles in and the next one is lake morena which we're not going to hike all the way to today, because we figured we'd start with 15s for a little bit and just Build up our bodies and then once we're feeling good, we'll jump onto some bigger miles

 I think that there's a water source like six miles from lake marina in total and hopefully it's a good place to like, hang and have lunch and do all those sorts of things and just kind of beat the heat until we can hike a little later in The afternoon [ Music, ] yep, [, Music, ], so [ Music ] we're just getting ready to leave our little oasis here at kitchen creek. It is so magical. We just soaked our feet and like washed off all our dirt and now we're gon na hike. Two more miles and get dirty again and get some dinner

 So this is my first resupply box. I have way too much food, but luckily there are plenty of hungry hikers here, so i'm gon na filter through this box - and i have a so much better idea of at least for right now, what i'll eat and what i won't eat um. So i'm gon na go through this and then i think we're gon na hang and kind of have a lazy day before heading out and hiking our last couple miles today later in the evening. I feel like this is a good place to end this vlog

PCT 2022 | Ep. 1 - Campo to Mount Laguna

 Um, we don't use ice axes just because of where we're located. So they are pretty handy if you were to put a basket on your trekking pole, you throw it in here and then you can use this strap. So you can kind of free up this pouch and also have a way to carry your trekking poles um. The base is really nice and sturdy; the design of it is meant for it to stay fairly upright, while you are loading and unloading your bag and not having to worry about it tipping on either side down

 I personally would prefer if they had pockets, that i can put snacks and food and cell phones all kinds of things. I would rather get easy access to than these straps these straps right here, little handy dandy, red ones, are to attach a sled to and drag behind you when you undo this strap here, pull the belt down, there's a little half circle and this part of the Aluminum frame sits in here and as you walk it pivots, so it follows the natural movement of your body, so it's a lot more efficient and easier to move instead of just being stationary on your hips, i love the components of all the straps. The one thing that does get to me is the length of all the straps. They are meant to be long so that you can adjust your load capacity and fit a lot of stuff in and then cinch stuff down, and you wouldn't want something that is too short because then you couldn't really adjust it and cinch it

 Like my trekking poles because of the coating on the back, i know that these checking poles are really securely in there and with the two compression straps, you can snug them in tightly so they're not going to be flopping around, and then this also has another strap On the pouch itself, which tightens up on the other side, i tend to carry extra water, and so this compression strap is really handy for holding my water bottle in place without it anytime. I bend over, say to tie my shoes or anything like that. It just flops out, so this is very handy to keep that secure. This particular strap goes all the way through here across the front and through to the other side, and because it comes through the through the front of the bag, but not over this pouch

 So it really securely holds my hydration system and then you can go one direction or the other for your water straw and then down the pads down the shoulder pads and then easy easy access to water. Both sides have straps that are meant for compression, but also are really nice for securing extra things. Like my trekking poles because of the coating on the back, i know that these checking poles are really securely in there and with the two compression straps, you can snug them in tightly so they're not going to be flopping around, and then this also has another strap On the pouch itself, which tightens up on the other side, i tend to carry extra water, and so this compression strap is really handy for holding my water bottle in place without it anytime.  Here we have dimension paulien DX 40, which is super burly and can take crampons and all the abuse of an ice axe rubbing against it. On the front of the AMG, there's an oversized crampon pocket and then just behind that there is an exterior storage pocket which can fit a lot of things, but specifically has sleeves for a probe and a shovel and everything you need for traveling on snow. On the front of the AMG there's two ice axe loops for a basic tool, carry on the front of the AMG there's compression straps that can tuck and hide behind the crampon pocket, but come out if you need to overload and put a sleeping pad on the Front or if you just really need that extra compression to lock everything down same on the side on the water bottle, pocket the side compression tucks into the water bottle pocket to keep the outside clean or you can have it out for larger items such as a Tent or sleeping pad the side pockets on the AMG have the 840 d carpet fabric on the outside, and the still burly 200 d nylon on the inside make it totally strong enough to take the wear and tear of a snow picket. But it's also big enough for an average water bottle with the expandable gusset on the side

 I also opted for some injinji toe socks for those, but these are taller. Like they go up to um, just below the knee, so super cozy and warm, i really like sleeping in some cozier socks and having like dry clean socks to put on at the end of the day, and then i have just a little beanie um. Normally i like to wear like chunkier beanies, but again just trying to be like spatially aware so just this one that packs down really small and um just some little gloves for those super cold mornings and days just to keep my hands warm so also in that Sack like i said, i had a couple of different like miscellaneous things, so this is my camp pillow. I know there are smaller options and i've tried them and i found them very uncomfortable, so this is um a pillow from nemo equipment that i brought on the tahoe room trail

 This is also something i brought on the tahoe rim trail. It'S the gsi outdoors, like ultralight mug. It literally weighs nothing um. I love this thing it's great for having, like your you, know your warm drink in the morning um

 I wanted to have something that when i'm taking breaks or things like that, i could sit on comfortably. So this is just like super small ultralight sit pad from zpax the shoes. I'M hiking with, as you can tell they have been recently worn. These are the brooks cascadia

 Um, so we'll start with this and we'll see, i have loved this over the years, but yeah subject to change. You never know. This is also something i brought on the tahoe rim trail. It'S the gsi outdoors, like ultralight mug
