 These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out. That'S kind of what it looks like i really like the shape the shapes a little bit more like this

 They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 I think that that's going to be good in use to be honest, i'll put this guy in there there you go so i've packed out like that and there's like still space on top of where this dead matsuda is so wallets in this pocket. Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth

 I dig it laptop in the back here laptop in the back now. This is something we're probably gon na have to talk about, so i don't know how big your laptops are. This is a 13-inch macbook, air and uh. It fits like, like i mean, there's like, maybe that much space there

Laptop compartment does not fit 15 inches laptop ... maybe 14 inches laptop will fit, my lenovo x390 is okay, but msi gs65 does not fit, not even close

I would say if the laptop compartment can really fit my MSI GS-65, it would be the perfect Ruck

with laptop sleeve in the main compartment is okay (a little tight), but than there is no false bottom protection for it

It is the quick and dirty on the radio, ruck goruck's original bag that uh before the gr1 and a comparable size, 21 liters, but again a little shorter frame without a frame sheet. So very nice bag not exactly like the gr1 little subtle differences.  But still you get this deeper rook for maybe deeper items that, whatever you carried, maybe a larger camera bag that you're going to throw in here some other items. They just want that deeper size. This would be the right size for you important to note, though. The big difference between this and a gr1 is the lack of the frame sheet

 So that's just something to point out again: just an all-around carry bag. I would not recommend putting steel plates in it if you were going to use steel plates i'd go with a rucker for sure, but if you were crazy enough to just want to get one bag and use it for everything and have that bomb proof pocket, you Could put a plate in here show a picture here of what that looks like how much gap you have to put a steel plate. I put the 20 pounder in there just to show you how big that would fit the 30 pounder would fit uh and it again it fits just fine, there's a little bit of a play in there, but not much, and i wouldn't recommend putting in the elastic Pocket because it's just going to fly out, crush whatever results is in there, maybe even slide up the hitch in the heads, and it's also rain proof. So, just like all the other goruck bags, um the material and the quality, is just fantastic and it's a rainproof bag

 It'S essentially a little bit deeper than the gr1 and a little bit shorter. I recently purchased a mountainsmith ghost pack during the REI sale and have since taken it for a spin to wolf shelter and back from Wintergreen (20 miles or so round trip) these are my initial impressions:  VALUE: this pack has been discontinued and the price reflects this fact, at $80 you just can't beat it!  FUNCTION: this pack preformed perfectly! I loaded it to 40lbs (volunteered to carry my family members stuff to reach that weight, mostly water) I've been using a women's Kelty Trekker since I was a teen and because of nostalgia I have had trouble replacing it, even though it's two inches two small for me. My usual 3 season weight is around 35lbs (I use almost all vintage gear). The comfort of this pack just blew me away! Now because I'm a human stick insect, I just don't have hips at all, usually I handle this by wearing my belt around my abdomen and compressing my mid section in order to make my hips more pronounced to hold weight without sliding down (hope that makes sense) this inturn makes the shoulder straps too high, and effects the packs balance. The Ghosts belt complete solves this problem by curving upwards from the back panel and over my iliac crest, sticking the lumbar pad to my tail bone like glue, no sliding down at all!! And if you do prefer wearing your belt over your hip instead of above it there are upper and lower straps which I believe would form a cup around your protruding hip bone

 Lots of long straps, but stick bugs should be used to this  OVERALL: I would recommend this pack to any skinny, bony, and tall person ( I'm 6'3" 145lbs) You won't be a part of the UL fad but you will be comfortable and you won't be carrying 30lbs all on your shoulders because this hipbelt is beefy not UL thin. If your going out for a weekend and want to fish, it will comfortably fit, if you want to carry that camp chair it will comfortably fit, got kids/nephews, it will comfortably fit, hunting dog with you and gun, it will fit comfortably.

 I could twist, crouch, bend, and even tie my shoes without my spine hitting anything hard or the hip-belt sliding around. I have terrible posture which creates lots of pressure points when using my Trekker, not so with the ghost. It fit out of the box so I have not tried adjusting the height of the pack but it looks easy enough. This adjustment point is also the source of one of my 2 complaints; the Velcro strap that locks the shoulder straps in places tend to cause a slight itch in between my shoulder blades, but I think this can be solved with a sliver of gaffer tape over a seam, but will update on that

Great pack for backpackers!

 Halfway into my morning commute I was peeling the jacket off it was so warm. I am still amazed at just how warm this jacket is. It's almost too warm, but I wouldn't trade it.

Cold-proof, wind-proof, weightless, but delicate

 This is very inconvenient when you’re hiking and wearing a pack. The Outdoor Vitals jacket, thought not as warm, has really nice pit zips.

1) The armpit cuts need to be slightly bigger. I have size Med and I also tried the Lg. The Lg fit my arms (width not length) and armpits better but was oversized in all other respects (I’m 5’ 6”, 168 lbs, athletic build). 

Great UL jacket but needs a couple of improvements.

 I think this would be less likely if the zippers were more substantial and made of harder metal. I know this would add weight, but it would have been worth it.  I hope to get the zipper repaired, and still would like to use this pack for smaller backpacking trips. But it will not be my go-to for our second attempt in 2014

  The zippers were OK, but the zipper on the main pocket near the top liked to get caught on the side and not zip properly. The middle pocket was easily chewed by a shelter mouse (grrrrr) within the first week or so on the trail. I think this would be less likely if the zippers were more substantial and made of harder metal. I know this would add weight, but it would have been worth it

I bought this backpack for my first attempt at hiking the Appalachian Trail. I knew I would be packing considerably less than my husband, and wanted a pack that was fairly lightweight. I loved how comfortable it felt when I tried it on at the store (where it was overpriced).  My husband carried my sleeping bag b/c there simply wasn't room for it in the pack along with my other items

The jacket works great for commuting to work daily. This jacket to keeps me warm during my daily commute when the mornings are cold but is light and compacts down to fit into my bag during the commute home when the afternoons are warm.

StorageThe Mountainsmith Ghost does have the traditional storm flap top entry and a lid, but instead incorporates two zippered compartments, much like a suitcase (or a school backpack). I found that this did not hamper the storage capabilities of the pack, since it contains a zippered front panel pocket, with a seam-taped zipper, that takes the place of a lid pocket. Two large zippered U-shaped access points provide access to the interior of the pack, allowing access much like a suitcase. 

Hip Belt The Ghost incorporates a thick air-mesh foam in the hip-belt, which provides good padding and great comfort. The hip belt also provides a large lumbar support padded area that was not only comfortable, but seemed to help transfer the weight onto my hips and tailbone area for increased comfort.

Overall ComfortThe Mountainsmith Ghost was one of the most comfortable packs tested to date in this category. This pack performs very well with loads up to 40 pounds. The pack’s many built-in comfort features, and the pack’s adjustment features—which to transfer weight from the shoulders to the hips and tailbone—worked cohesively.
