 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 The bottom is flat, so i think packed out this bag will stand up on its own.  They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

 But you end up with what looks like say a mesh here and a mesh here and when i pack it out i'll kind of show you what i mean so i've got my headphones. So i can put my headphones in one of the mesh guys there. I'Ve got my hand sanitizer, so i can put my hand sanitizer in the other mesh guy there then i have my wallet, which is this daybreaker wallet from wayfinder. Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

 The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see. Um the back panel itself, um, it's just slightly longer here, but it's basically the same thing. That does make a difference later, though, when we talk about laptops and how laptops work in here, but aside from that um that are those are the only exterior differences that you can see

GORUCK Radio Ruck 2021 and GR1 21L COMPARED!

I've personally settled on the Mystery Ranch packs (for now at least). The Scree 32 weighs around 1kg with the belt taken off (you can always feed a normal belt through the lumbar later on) holds a tablet in the water-bladder sleeve, has enough organization to keep me happy (1 main 32L bucket, 2 quick grabs, 2 internal compartments, 2 mesh waterbottle holders) is more durable than the Farpoint, and more comfortable.

 It's not the comfiest pack in the world, but it's comfy enough. It's not a hiking pack, but it can be used as one. It's not the heaviest pack in the world, but its not the lightest. It's carry on

The Farpoint doesn't have the best laptop compartment, but it has one. The waterbottle pockets are weird and annoying to use, but they're there. It doesnt have the best organization, but it has some. It has compression straps, but they're in an annoying place

I am a long time fan of Farpoint 40, but the only problem I have with it is it's relatively massive 1.5kg weight.

I am looking for a replacement that would be exactly the same in terms of functionality (large straps, 40~ ish liters, optimized for travel), but half the weight, ideally in the area of 0.5-0.8kg.

I am yet to find any decent replacement, and ultralight selection does not seem to be a good option cause it is not very suitable for urban travel. Any advice?

Lighter Farpoint 40 alternative

 The only issue I have, and I didn't really take the time to figure out how to avoid it, although I'm sure it is avoidable, is if you pack either the main compartment or the fidlock compartment a certain way, it kind of sags the front compartment to the point the fidlock is wrapped down under the bag in such a way that it can't functionally be opened without kind of lifting the bottom of the bag. It's kind of difficult to explain, and I'm pretty positive it's just the way I was packing it (Too much weight in a certain part of the bag?). It is an annoyance, but not a deal breaker.

For me, the divider in the MR 3-Way is really the issue that I have. It's a great bag otherwise, and I've kept it and used it for short one bag trips, it's great under the seat of an airplane. 

A couple small nitpicks, the backpack strap stowage, while pretty common, is not my favorite system. It isn't something you'd want to do while walking. I prefer having flaps that hide the straps as opposed to stuffing them. This is isn't a deal breaker and I knew this going into the purchase

The one issue that stopped me from using the bag as a daily carry is the divider in the main compartment. For my specific carry, it didn't work well. It's the same thing that would prevent a camera cube from sitting in there without expanding the bag. There's a divider that separates the main compartment and it runs nearly down the middle, cutting the ability to carry bulky items in either the "front" half of the main compartment or the "rear" half completely as neither side was wide enough

For starters, as mentioned, the messenger strap is junk for a bag of this price. It's a strap of single webbing with two plastic buckles. I purchased it in black and had a strap that I could switch to it, otherwise I would have ordered something different the day I received the bag.

Really like the look of this pack but don't know if it would fit a dslr inside. Anyone have any idea if one would fit?

Anyone have the mystery ranch 3 way brief? Can it fit a dslr in a camera cube?

Quick Look: Mystery Ranch Scapegoat 25 — the equipped

 So we know this pack is for hiking we got now. This is mystery. Ranch'S, bread and butter right here this adjustable back panel. The the ergonomically cut shoulder straps, very, very comfortable if you're in the woods is comfortable or if you're in a city street it's going to be comfortable adjustable to your height

 On this side, i got my camelbak shoot in there. It doesn't seat itself. Quite that great inside of this inside this pocket it's kind of loose. I got to use the uh compression strap on the side

 This pocket right here on the back is huge. It'S got a lot of space in there got the great mystery ranch quality mesh in the inside big enough for that adventure, medical kit to fit in there, but you could fit a lot of things in there. This feature in packs is awesome and i'm going to show you some other packs. That kind of picked that feature up you know so that's great now the u-shape opening in the pack itself is awesome

 I love this stitching on this three branch packs, especially on the higher end packs. They do. The stitching the the embroidery of the logo itself into the 500d core door great now. This pack also offers you two quick access, pockets right here on the top this front, one is it's: it's actually a good size, it's pretty damn big! So in there i got, you know spyderco, para 3: this is the lightweight version, just trade it up to that, and then my little you know stuff where i just you know, hand cream lotion and stuff, and then i also got a flashlight this

Mystery Ranch Scapegoat 25: DISCONTINUED But Why Tho?

 So I'm gon na start off right here on the side I like to start off, especially in a place like this, where I know where I'm going with an empty water bladder, because I don't like carrying extra weight before I have to so I'll. Take this water bladder, put it in the side. That'S where I like to store that in that compartment, then opening this up, you can also see I've got multiple zipper compartments for the small stuff there's also on top here. Another zipper see the mesh cut down on weight

 The other piece of the equation is, I rarely hunt alone. I do some solo trips, but if you haven't had a buddies rifle get knocked off where your own rifle get off. It'S always nice to have extra ammunition along, because that means that you can still continue hunting but make sure you cinch it down tight to prevent rattles as well. Pack, rattling is something you want to avoid the nice part about this sawtooth is you can absolutely cinch everything down very quick, easy little tip for these velcro velcro straps, making sure you keep everything under control? Sometimes you don't want to have to rewrap the whole thing

 Last thing I want to do is want to put my rifle on the Sawtooth. Now we're going to get it strapped in, but first and foremost always safety see I've got the magazine unloaded. You can also see that got the bolt. Has nothing in it so check that so you're gon na want to make sure you get your stock down nice and low and next piece? Is I like to make sure that my rifle is nice and cinched down and so I'll put that over the top of the action right underneath the scope that ensures that that's gon na stay there stay in place, then next piece of the equation? So I will always make sure that my sling nice and tight right there then get that guy cinch down nice and tight now time to load her up on my back head out, and hopefully we can find a bear the spring now

 You can see that I've got a 36 inch waist. So this is a medium that fits a 31 to 36. So this should fit me just perfect, tested it out already size that up when this pack is riding on your back. You want a gap here

Mystery Ranch Sawtooth 45 Backpack Review

hey guys Scott Reeekers here with
EASTMANS' HUNTING JOURNAL today I am

here to talk about the Mystery Ranch
Sawtooth pack as well as the Beartooth

pack a little and why you pick each of
them in a specific situation we are

enjoying a wonderful spring bear hunt so
we're gonna start with why I'm picking

the Sawtooth for this hunt over the
Beartooth theBeartooth is a much

larger pack than the Sawtooth and so
that means it's a multi-day excursion

this is a quick trip I had it loaded up
because we were thinking we might do

like multiple days on this we decided
based on our information with where the

bears are and where they're kind of
hanging out that Sawtooth was a much

better option for this hunt because it's
two thousand seven hundred and forty six

cubic inches what does that mean that
means that I could fit two to three days

in this pack very easily or I can make
it a day pack with the potential of

staying overnight like what we're
planning on this hunt this would be the

same type style and size of pack that I
would use on a run and gun mule deer

hunt which is my favorite type of hunt
to go on in the backcountry spend three

days in an area move out if you don't
find the buck that you were looking for

that you scouted during the summer to
really go through the features and look

at what I want to do with this Sawtooth
pack I want to actually pack it with

what I'm taking along on this trip and
then you can really see some of the

features including this 270 degree YKK
zipper this thing is tough as nails you

can also see like in our situation here
there's there's water building up on it

no water is leaking in so the first
thing that I'm gonna do is I'm gonna pop

off these SJ auto-lock clips you can see
start expanding this and also see that

we've got the gate keepers here velcro
open this up so you can get a little

more strap as this expands allows the
pack to puff out just the way that you

want it to but also makes it nice for
easy storage good I don't know anyone

who can say they have enough storage
in their house for all their gear I kind

of like to collect my gear there's a lot
of it so if I can compress my backpacks

down make them smaller make them hang
nicer inside the closet

that's perfect way to do it Mystery
Ranch Sawtooth does just that so you're

gonna start expanding it pop this off
pop this off open it up again about 270

degrees and you can see a lot of
organized organization inside of this so

I'm gonna start off right here on the
side I like to start off especially in a

place like this where I know where I'm
going with an empty water bladder

because I don't like carrying extra
weight before I have to so I'll take

this water bladder put it in the side
that's where I like to store that in

that compartment then opening this up
you can also see I've got multiple

zipper compartments for the small stuff
there's also on top here another zipper

see the mesh cut down on weight this is
a very lightweight pack and so I'll

start with easy to find stuff like my
knife will go up there I always have a

couple of lighters with me and I always
put them in separate places too so I'll

put one up here in case that gets lost
or you accidentally leave it open dump

it out put that up here take the other
lighter put it inside my main go to

headlamp will stay in this top pocket
now will always be there for easy access

the next thing that I'm gonna do is my
bulky stuff bulky stuff always goes in

the bottom and the beauty of this pack
again the fact that it expands you can

get it right so I'm gonna take my pillow
okay so I have to stay out overnight

sure you noticing a theme here with
always be prepared so I've got my sleep

system tarp all inside this put that all
down here at the bottom so bottom half

of my bag is filled and so that's what's
really nice about this being able to

expand with these locks then the zipper
it's tough as nails mystery ranch isn't

known for it and I really appreciate
that the zipper moves up and down very

nicely it's just plain tough and going
to make it through the toughest

conditions next piece is my extras
well I'm hiking in I'm not going to need

my extra base layer so that's gonna go
right in here

which is extra warmth a little added
added r-value then you can see I've

gotten my rain gear pants those are kind
of next in line and I'll intentionally

zip up as I go because with a style like
this that opens up I can either open it

up on the ground flat pull something out
or use it traditionally like the

entrance from the top I also love this
mesh on the inside so I can see what I'm

going after my rain jacket now will get
pulled out pretty often because I use my

rain jacket as a softshell you can see
that some of the other videos that we've

done where we talk about our layering
system no need to double up no need to

have a softshell and a rain jacket when
they get function as the same thing

especially with all the breathable
materials that are out there now so then

the next piece is my stove so that's
gonna go right up here my first aid

slash possibles pouch repurposed
lightweight bag from my sleeping pad for

this because I'm no longer using the
sleeping pad bag so that goes right up

in here because I get into that thing
all the time I want access to this

pretty quickly there's a kill kit so
that's that guys gonna go right in here

and you can see it's a little tight but
that's ok because with this Mystery

Ranch system you have the overload shelf
Mystery Ranch they were the pioneers and

load carriage with the system where you
talk about

frame shelf or a shelf in the actual
frame that where you could expand your

pack out
Dana Gleason actually owns the patent on

that system which is a really cool
innovative idea that he came up with

years ago and so you can see that you
can put a quarter back there on this

particular case being a bear hunt we'd
put the entire bear in there put all of

its hide
put the meat that we that we would take

with us in that section and so great
feature for that is that overload shelf

for those of you who are like me and
like to have quick access to their

snacks that's going on top basically a
day's worth of food just stars ippon

there you go almost all the way done
kahtoola micro spikes a pack system like

this so it also go in here where it can
be compressed because you hear it

jingling compression is going to be very
important because you do not want it

making noise when you're on a stalk
however having these along when the

ground gets muddy and gross they can be
late it can literally be a lifesaver

going to see that I'm going to strap my
gaiters to the outside these things are

gross they're wet but you want to have
them along because they're very nice to

have for making sure you don't get
debris up especially once it starts

getting muddy and getting all that mud
on your pants I don't like to have that

because I sleep in my sleeping bag in my
pants so the system like this it's very

to the opposite side where I'm planning
to put my rifle it's the last thing that

goes in because you always need quick
access to your ammunition I bring an

entire box for variety reasons number
one being that I am human I can miss I

always want to be prepared make sure
that I have that it's a comfort thing

the other piece of the equation is I
rarely hunt alone

I do some solo trips but if you haven't

where your own rifle get off it's always
nice to have extra ammunition along

 Things like that that i want to keep out of the main chamber away from my food away from my clothes and toiletries things like that are really nice to keep separate. I really like this lid that i can detach and go on a day hike with, but most important to me. I love the ability to fully flay open my backpack so that i can get at things easily as as i'm on a trail, i carry camera equipment. So it's really nice for me to be able to flay that open and grab different lenses or different camera pieces

 Let'S break it down. [, Music, ], [ Applause ], so, according to mystery, ranch's website, the bridger 65 is the cadillac of backpacks. This pack is loaded with internal and external pockets for maximum gear packing. The large detail pocket opens fully for easy accessibility to gear

 I hate, sternum straps. I don't often hike with one. So now i have two that i've got ta leave dangling here, but then i actually got it on the trail and started using it, and i love what it does. I honestly think it's it's a beautiful revolution in backpacking design, because what this does is it gives me so much contact through my sternum across my shoulders and then down into my back and into my hips

 Mystery ranch does something that i haven't seen on other packs. They make this triangular space right here in in their hip belt and then that allows this hip belt to just have a really nice amount of movement and really decrease hot spots on, say the back and upper parts of your hips. It'S just the most comfortable design. I have come across in any pack on the market, so i really think that they have designed a really beautiful, wonderful backpack here
