Patagonia Refugio 28L Pack

(1/1)

The very small top compartment seems fine for holding sunglasses. Two large water-bottle holders on the sides seem well constructed and durable, but this is where we get to my main problem with this bag. Why build a pack with so much capacity, such a reputation for quality, clearly intended to be purchased by adults, and then put thin undersized straps on it? I'm 6 ft 2, and weigh 175 lbs so I'm a slender guy. The straps are not wide enough for my normal sized shoulders

Zipper

Patagonia Refugio 28L Pack

(1/1)

Hello beautiful people, I just got my new Black color "Refugio Pack" and I am liking it (not loving it). First problem, you can not see the zipper pulls in the dark because zip per- lace's are also matt black. I wish that they used different color zipper-lace so I can find them quickly in the dark. I will try to modify them myself

Laptop

Patagonia Refugio 28L Pack

(1/1)

Along with that comes a shorter back panel and a more narrow profile. The back panel itself is so densely padded that you won’t feel your laptop inside against your back at all. It also has a layer of Airflow Mesh to fight back sweat. A bit of this mesh is also on the shoulder straps for the same reason, although it does have a bit of a crunchy feel and sound

Commute

Patagonia Refugio 28L Pack

(1/2)

So if you’re not looking for a hiking or climbing backpack, but still want something relatively small for your work commute, this could be it!

Compartment

Patagonia Refugio 28L Pack

(1/1)

Second thing is that compartment on top for your mobile phone and/or wallet. You can NOT operate that zipper with one hand, instead, you need to hold the bag against your body, hold one end of the compartment and open the zipper with other hand and insert your phone, also, hold again one end and close the zipper with another hand. Kind an annoying. I wish that they did vertical zipper which can be open/close with one hand without completely removing the backpack from your upper body

Strap

Patagonia Refugio 28L Pack

(1/1)

Why build a pack with so much capacity, such a reputation for quality, clearly intended to be purchased by adults, and then put thin undersized straps on it? I'm 6 ft 2, and weigh 175 lbs so I'm a slender guy. The straps are not wide enough for my normal sized shoulders. The capacity of this bag is great, the style is relatively attractive, but It seems like they forgot 50% of the purpose of this bag, which is to be worn. My commute is literally one mile in length, which is still too long to endure with a bag that has been designed like this
