 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 The bottom is flat, so i think packed out this bag will stand up on its own.  They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

So i can put my headphones in one of the mesh guys there. I'Ve got my hand sanitizer, so i can put my hand sanitizer in the other mesh guy there then i have my wallet, which is this daybreaker wallet from wayfinder. Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

 The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see. Um the back panel itself, um, it's just slightly longer here, but it's basically the same thing. That does make a difference later, though, when we talk about laptops and how laptops work in here, but aside from that um that are those are the only exterior differences that you can see

Verdict: I would have chosen the Daylite because I prefer quality, but my 6 yr old picked the Tarn12 for comfort and features.  Her pack, she chooses.

The goal: To find a perfectly sized pack that will help my daughter love hiking as much as the rest of the family.  Hoping that giving her something small to carry that includes her snacks, water, and a camera will help her to feel engaged in the hike and not just being dragged along a forced march.  I brought home both the REI Tarn 12 and the Osprey Daylite (10L) to compare and kid-test.

Comfort - Back and straps offer more padded comfort, and as long as the foam doesn't break down, there should be airflow even if it gets warm.

 A word of note: this pack barely fits me, but it fits. I like how tight it sits up on my back. Love the side pockets for my water bottle or umbrella.

Perfect for my young hiker. Complete with water storage, space for her snacks and fits her layers removed while hiking. Comfortable straps she hikes confidently with.

  So many helpful pockets! The Bottom Line What we Love The REI Tarn 12 is an excellent, well-constructed pack with a ton of storage capacity. It has become a beloved companion on our family adventures.   The hipbelt keeps the pack secure enough for wiggly kiddos to run, jump, climb, and bike without needing to take it off.  Exterior pocket options are abundant and practical

 So i don't really use this. I guess you could, if you wrap something else in it, if you really need to get to it, of course it does cinch up as well on the inside, so these are compression straps. Some more compression straps here here same on the other side. This is for the brain, which will compress some

 So i went with this instead, so in the front of course, we have the brain which does clip off, so it can be used as a day pack. The straps are inside and they just clip into this. It'S zipper here zipper here. They designed it with the this side to be darker, so this matches with the front

 These straps are to help you with the fit. So if you need to adjust it as well, as you know, more compression, so there's just lots of straps everywhere, so i'm kind of starting to roll these up and get them out of the way because it's just strap everywhere. When i look at pictures it's funny how much straps are just hanging off of this um, the shoulder straps are actually pretty squishy and soft, so i haven't had any issues with them. This does adjust so it's velcro, so you can lengthen and shorten with these little things here and then you'll notice that i've actually changed the hip belt

 Some more compression straps here here same on the other side. This is for the brain, which will compress some. These straps are to help you with the fit.  As we go out and in this back pocket, this is an elastic pocket and it's meant to hold a water bladder. We do not have a water bladder for her yet, and that is one of my complaints about about this backpack. So they have a place for the water bladder to go and a hole on the top for the water spout to come out of. But it does not come with a water bladder

 Okay, so, let's start at the front, there is a front pocket where we can throw in a light jacket, sometimes a hat anything. You want easy access to while you're hiking, and this is elastic, so it's pretty stretchy. You can fit a decent side, puffy puffy jacket in there in the front, there is a front zipper pocket we like to throw in her sunglasses. You can fit some snacks in there

 I love that it has a zipper, so everything stays secure. Also on the inside. One of the best features about this backpack is the amount of storage you can fit so many things in here. We can fit all of the dolls and stuffed animals that want to come hiking with us

 I would highly recommend this backpack to anyone whose kid is getting ready to start some hikes.
