 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 The bottom is flat, so i think packed out this bag will stand up on its own. So, let's just do that, let's pack it out since i'll use it for tomorrow, poor bullet, i have been loving, you so get my mask out, wallet keys and that's all that's in there on the inside, i've got this dad's fanny thing which i'm going to be Reviewing soon got this dan matsuda pouch, which is sexy, i got my wallet here up here.  They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

 But you end up with what looks like say a mesh here and a mesh here and when i pack it out i'll kind of show you what i mean so i've got my headphones. So i can put my headphones in one of the mesh guys there. I'Ve got my hand sanitizer, so i can put my hand sanitizer in the other mesh guy there then i have my wallet, which is this daybreaker wallet from wayfinder. Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

 The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see. Um the back panel itself, um, it's just slightly longer here, but it's basically the same thing. That does make a difference later, though, when we talk about laptops and how laptops work in here, but aside from that um that are those are the only exterior differences that you can see

I could easily throw in more things for a day hike, like a Mylar sleeping bag, rope, and a hiking first aid kit, among other items. 

 I use the compression straps to run through my water bottle loops. The material is slick, so if your water bottle sticks out beyond the elastic, it will fall out if you bend over or take the pack off.

Great for adults too!

  We also loved the comfortable shoulder straps, large water bottle pockets, and zipper-free stash pocket on the back. The fit was also great for my children. My kids all liked testing it so much that I bought two more from REI so they could each have their own! My 6 year old is actually enjoying hiking more now that she has her own comfy pack (with waist belt pockets, of course). Major win for this mom

REI Tarn 18 Backpack Review

I just purchased this pack and I love it.  I have a daily commute on the train, and have found that using a backpack as a purse works best.  Unfortunately, like some of the other reviewers, as a 4'11" woman, I have had difficulty finding comfortable packs which are not too big for my frame yet can fit all that I wish to carry.  This one fits the bill

  The clerk who assisted me said that it was okay to put my stuff in the pack and put it on, and that clinched the deal for me.  I was concerned about a weight limit but she also weighed the pack and said that it's 12 pounds, no problem.

  Unfortunately, like some of the other reviewers, as a 4'11" woman, I have had difficulty finding comfortable packs which are not too big for my frame yet can fit all that I wish to carry.  This one fits the bill.  I really appreciate the padded straps now that the warmer weather is here and there's no coat to cushion the straps of a less well-made product.  The mesh side pockets fit a 20 ounce thermos perfectly

Another happy "petite" customer!

I bought this for my son when he was in first grade because the regular backpacks in stores just seem too big for a kid his size.

 So i don't really use this. I guess you could, if you wrap something else in it, if you really need to get to it, of course it does cinch up as well on the inside, so these are compression straps. Some more compression straps here here same on the other side. This is for the brain, which will compress some

 So i went with this instead, so in the front of course, we have the brain which does clip off, so it can be used as a day pack. The straps are inside and they just clip into this. It'S zipper here zipper here. They designed it with the this side to be darker, so this matches with the front

 These straps are to help you with the fit. So if you need to adjust it as well, as you know, more compression, so there's just lots of straps everywhere, so i'm kind of starting to roll these up and get them out of the way because it's just strap everywhere. When i look at pictures it's funny how much straps are just hanging off of this um, the shoulder straps are actually pretty squishy and soft, so i haven't had any issues with them. This does adjust so it's velcro, so you can lengthen and shorten with these little things here and then you'll notice that i've actually changed the hip belt

 Some more compression straps here here same on the other side. This is for the brain, which will compress some. These straps are to help you with the fit. So if you need to adjust it as well, as you know, more compression, so there's just lots of straps everywhere, so i'm kind of starting to roll these up and get them out of the way because it's just strap everywhere

 It'S zipper here zipper here. They designed it with the this side to be darker, so this matches with the front. I guess the thought that maybe you can reach behind your head and unzip this and grab something without taking your pack off um. I haven't tried that yet i don't think i can manage that

 So first you got ta just loosen so first to loosen you, you just pull the um this and then just loosen that unbuckle now we're gon na uh. Do the same? Just do that and all right. So now i'm going to show you the pouches that we have on our turn: 40 uh backpacks. So here we have a snack pouch up top

 You just pull this up, and then here you you, you can keep the what those water things and then you like those tubes, um, yeah, uh and then now just so that we yep now we're just buckling it up this too, the essential list, oh yeah, and Then so here it says these uh 10 essential unique. So let's see you need map and compass or maybe even a dps sun protection, sunglasses and sunscreen extra clothes, warm ones, not cotton, a headlamp or flashlight. First, aid kit, a multi-tool repair kit, waterproof matches and candles extra food, extra water or water treatment and emergency shelter like a tent. So now we just buckle this up

 So what wall? We do? We'Re we're gon na, say geronimo trying to move uh so now now we're gon na. Take it off. So first you got ta just loosen so first to loosen you, you just pull the um this and then just loosen that unbuckle now we're gon na uh. Do the same? Just do that and all right
