Thule Covert DSLR Rolltop Backpack

(1/2)

My only problem is how small the camera area is. For example i use the Thule Aspect for a day to day use and it can fit almost everything i need in the camera area when i go out (Nikon FF camera with a 70-200, 24-70 and even a 14-24) so my problem with the Thule Covert is that i cant't fit all this stuff in the camera compartment i even though of send it to someone to fix it for me because i would really like to use this bag as a Trekking bag for 2-3 days without long walks but being able to take all my camping, food, clothes plus camera stuff and i dont like the bags where is 100% camera space, i really like the side access for the camera area which is divided from the top. Please Thule have this in mind for a next backpack!

Zipper

Thule Covert DSLR Rolltop Backpack

No problems with the zippers. DSLR insert for when I take my equipment to events. The inside lining is starting a fray a bit from too much use, but I'll likely be buying it again in a year!

Laptop

Thule Covert DSLR Rolltop Backpack

(1/1)

With a laptop in the main compartment and any any personal items in the top, it always feels top heavy. And forget sailing through TSA with this bag; it's a pain and really time consuming if you need to take out your laptop quickly. The top pouch feels more just like a dump bag. I appreciate all of the small zippered pockets, but there's so many of them that it's easy to forget where you put something; many of the zippered pockets are very flat with no gusset, so you're limited in what you can put in them

Commute

Thule Covert DSLR Rolltop Backpack

(1/2)

I bought this to be an everyday bag (living in Brooklyn). It seems likeore of a hiking outdoor bag but has a perfect use for those who have to pack for the day and need to keep all equipment on them until getting home. The shape is even perfect for gym lockers that are more vertical or rectangular in shape, which most typically shaped backpacks are difficult to stuff into those lockers. The black color also doesn't show dirt easily, I've had it for about a month and it still looks new

Strap

Thule Covert DSLR Rolltop Backpack

(1/1)

This is honestly an awesome urban camera bag. I have not used it as a hiking bag yet, however I have walked around the city for long periods of time with it - the straps are not the most comfortable, but if you have layers on it's totally fine. There is no waist strap so if that's important for you in terms of hiking, then this might not be for you. But if you're into a cool-looking, urban bag then check this out!
