 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 The bottom is flat, so i think packed out this bag will stand up on its own. So, let's just do that, let's pack it out since i'll use it for tomorrow, poor bullet, i have been loving, you so get my mask out, wallet keys and that's all that's in there on the inside, i've got this dad's fanny thing which i'm going to be Reviewing soon got this dan matsuda pouch, which is sexy, i got my wallet here up here.  They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

So i can put my headphones in one of the mesh guys there. I'Ve got my hand sanitizer, so i can put my hand sanitizer in the other mesh guy there then i have my wallet, which is this daybreaker wallet from wayfinder. Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

 The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see. Um the back panel itself, um, it's just slightly longer here, but it's basically the same thing. That does make a difference later, though, when we talk about laptops and how laptops work in here, but aside from that um that are those are the only exterior differences that you can see

The build quality is excellent. If you want a light, rugged day pack for bike-commuting with nothing to snag you, this might be it. If you want it as a daily-use school bag, I would pass on this one, and go for one of Thule's ironically smaller (25L) "crossover" bags that seem to hold way more than this. See my photos for how the bottom half of the front pouch is nearly useless space

The bad: This pack will never standup on its own. The sleek design means it rolls forward every time. The drink pockets that zip close? They are so tight that my water bottle barely fits, and the effort usually causes the bag to roll, and once for me to spill coffee everywhere. The 30L? I don't know where

 The pouch from front to back is very narrow. I never did get anywhere near 30L to fit in this bag, and any effort to fill it caused it to be nearly unusuable as you had to pull everything out to find your stuff.

 This is a tight-fitting bag, I don't know where they hid 30L of capacity, but it feels very tight. The zipper on the front pouch only goes down a little ways, so the very-thick front pouch requires its lid to be held open and I invariably lose stuff in the bottom and have to dig around to find it. The soft protection pocket for sunglasses is not nearly as protected as my previous Thule bag, which had a removable reinforced glasses case. The main pouch suffers from being very narrow and the zipper only going halfway (with the strong design of the bag also) forcing you to dig around to find items

4 Stars for good build quality, but moved on.

 I commute on the subway in NYC and need something flexible as things come up. The 23L was perfect if I just had a laptop to haul around -- but occasionally I have to bring home something from work (or to work - like my lunch). I also use my backpack when traveling and the larger version can fit a weekend worth of clothes where the smaller wouldn't fit.  I found the 30L much more suitable for my daily needs - but yours may vary

I purchased both the 23L and 30L Subterra to compare because I was unsure of the size (see the photo if you're interested in a side-by-side profile shot of both). I found the 30L to be more useful for me, day-to-day. I commute on the subway in NYC and need something flexible as things come up. The perfect sized backpack for every day use

 The laptop sleeve fits my HP Spectre X360 15" laptop perfectly. I LOVE that you can insert it in the sleeve at the top/inside of the bag but can access it via a zipper on the outside/side of the bag as well. I also keep my iPad Air 2 and all of my iPad and Laptop accessories and chargers etc. inside

 For the price, this backpack really does have it all (well, almost).  I mentioned that I use it for work. The laptop sleeve fits my HP Spectre X360 15" laptop perfectly. The best backpack ever.  Period.  For professionals, students and travelers.  I would know!

 Good: good quality and very durable material, I do not see anything else Bad: front zipper hard to open because front storage always being push, storage place is very small for 30L, heavy and uncomfortable to carry. I may have to return it.

As you can see on the picture, the front is being pushed and the zipper hard to open. I have to pull out the first storage before unzipping, it is very annoying. I am not sure if mind is defective or needs break-in. This is one of the issue

 Maybe the shoulder straps could be a bit more reinforced and sturdier because if there is a failure point to this backpack, in my opinion it would be at the shoulder straps.

Thule Subterra 34L Travel Backpack Review | Pack Hacker

 We got a button on this side and then yeah just kind of protect that zipper a little bit. So this is great if you need a again a carry-on in a check bag or you're traveling with somebody else, and you can each take a bag. You can both, you know, carry on a bag and then put them together once you get off the airport. Just for ease of use, this bag obviously does not have wheels or anything

 Here you can actually tuck the compression straps, underneath here, they'll still dangle a little bit off the back of that, but just to keep them a little more managed, so there's our roller bag and on the other side. Here we have this inside flap that you just kind of roll out and then there's kind of a little lip here that you turn like inside-out ish. So this button clips to this button here, it'll kind of help, keep it facing the right way and if you can just flip this around the zipper that'll just kind of help, keep that zipper, nice and clean. So when you go to zip these two back together, there's no dirt or mud or anything in there just kind of helps it keep a little more protected

 We just got a nice little grab handle here. If you need it, if you're just trying to move it around or you got a side grab handle as well, so let's get into these pockets see what this duffel is all about. So opening up this one, you got a nice quick grab pocket. We love the bright blue interior, really just turns the lights on

 Mesh pocket here - and this is attached just with like a little strap, so you can take it off if you wanted to and just make sure. This is why it had kind of a double zipper, because once you unzip it you'll need to resist a top part in here. So this just out of the way - and you just use this extra piece of fabric to create a new front of the bag. This also, if you just don't need that much room, but you still want to take a roller bag

 But I like that the zippers come down a decent amount so that you can open it up a little bit wider to see everything that's on the inside and the layout for this compartment is really simple. It'S just a big bucket of space and I really like that to give me a lot of flexibility with how I can organize everything and so jumping into the items that I currently have in here. First up I have my air top kit and then the only other thing that I currently have here is my larger double-sided and compressible packing cube from our Quito. That has some my larger clothing items

 You can definitely fit up to a 15 inch laptop. Currently. What I have in here is my 13 inch macbook pro, but you can see there's some leftover space at the top and then at the bottom. I haven't been able to tell if this compartment is suspended

 And then, besides, that, this compartment goes all the way down to the bottom of the bag. This is one thing that I struggled with a little bit with this bag is the fact that this doesn't open a little bit lower. So it was a little hard to take full advantage of the compartments on the bottom, especially when the main area started. To get a little bit fuller, so it was hard to see kind of these zipper pockets here and to even just take full advantage of the space

 This compartment just also feels a little bit. Thicker and more padded for anything more delicate that you need to store the last area that we're gon na be taking a look at is the main compartment, and this is a top loading pocket. But I like that the zippers come down a decent amount so that you can open it up a little bit wider to see everything that's on the inside and the layout for this compartment is really simple. It'S just a big bucket of space and I really like that to give me a lot of flexibility with how I can organize everything and so jumping into the items that I currently have in here

Thule Subterra 30 Backpack Review - Solid Minimal Travel and Tech Bag

 A lot of bags will have the handle like back here or something, and you pick it up and you'll get this tilt. That'S not the case with the subterra 40 liter, even though it's a big bag, it's like pretty streamlined, which is nice and then yeah. I mean if we're going to jump right over, let's talk about the harness system, so i didn't find this harness system to be the most comfortable. I was carrying it with the included crossbody strap for the majority of my travels, which attaches here um

 I don't know if it's how the straps attach to the bag or because i had a laptop in here that kind of bulked it out, but for like fully packed travel bag, it wasn't the most comfortable. Carry that i've used. Your mileage may vary. Everybody'S body type is different

 So this is where you have a bit of an admin: organizer or admin cache whatever you want to call it, and then right here is a good place to put your phone. So if i slide my phone in here, you can just plug that in and you have a battery bank on the side. So this can hold like your extra cords and uh things of that nature, and then you've got place for a phone here, i'm just going to turn it around. So we don't have that distracting reflection from our lights and then this cord can just be fed through here and then through this little loop as well in the nylon

 For my laptop, this is the anchor nano 2.. Now i wanted to talk about this specifically because you can see this is a little wider, so when you put it in here, there's relatively good leader space here, but you can see if everything else is flat. This really sticks out
