 These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out. That'S kind of what it looks like i really like the shape the shapes a little bit more like this

 They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

Laptop compartment does not fit 15 inches laptop ... maybe 14 inches laptop will fit, my lenovo x390 is okay, but msi gs65 does not fit, not even close

I would say if the laptop compartment can really fit my MSI GS-65, it would be the perfect Ruck

with laptop sleeve in the main compartment is okay (a little tight), but than there is no false bottom protection for it

So very nice bag not exactly like the gr1 little subtle differences.  But still you get this deeper rook for maybe deeper items that, whatever you carried, maybe a larger camera bag that you're going to throw in here some other items. They just want that deeper size. This would be the right size for you important to note, though. The big difference between this and a gr1 is the lack of the frame sheet

 So that's just something to point out again: just an all-around carry bag. I would not recommend putting steel plates in it if you were going to use steel plates i'd go with a rucker for sure, but if you were crazy enough to just want to get one bag and use it for everything and have that bomb proof pocket, you Could put a plate in here show a picture here of what that looks like how much gap you have to put a steel plate. I put the 20 pounder in there just to show you how big that would fit the 30 pounder would fit uh and it again it fits just fine, there's a little bit of a play in there, but not much, and i wouldn't recommend putting in the elastic Pocket because it's just going to fly out, crush whatever results is in there, maybe even slide up the hitch in the heads, and it's also rain proof. So, just like all the other goruck bags, um the material and the quality, is just fantastic and it's a rainproof bag

I was torn between this and the Osprey Farpoint 40L. After trying both of them out, the Tortuga won.  So this is the way to do it. If you have a smaller water bottle, let's keep it zipped up like that. That'Ll hold it pretty tight and then, if you have like a bigger Nalgene bottle, you can expand it and really get a lot more room in there. But it's just kind of between those two sizes

 That'S soft inside here. Just on the one side now this really makes more sense than the front pocket. So if you put your tablet in here with your screen to the fuzz, then it's sticking in the towards the inside of your bag, which is what you want there. So we would be more inclined to put a tablet in this pocket than the front one, and then you have this nice laptop sleeves back here

 This is pretty thickly padded and this actually has the faux fur on both sides here again with a lot of padding. So you don't really need to use a case with it, but it does fit a case. So this is a case for a 16 inch macbook so which really makes this about the size of like a 17 inch computer. So this will fit and accommodate some of your larger computers as long as they're, not too crazy thick, but so it doesn't need the case, but it does fit it

 As well as another set of spare cables from nomad at the bottom, we've got a bigger mesh pocket. I'Ve just got a loop deck console, really good tool for creative professionals and then over here we have our device sleeves. So we have another 9.7 inch tablet sleeve that you can store a tablet

It's a bit of a crazy trip. 8 days traveling with my teen son's school band (so we do have to travel solo for a bit from Milan to Venice, but once we meet up with the bus, the bus carries our luggage). Then a van rental to a villa in Lucca. Then a train to Florence, train to Rome, and train back to Milan.

We've camped and hiked a lot -- so I keep gravitating toward the backpack. But two out of three of us are old (50 and 55)  and getting older every day, and I just don't know if a backpack makes sense going forward. 

I am leaning toward a wheeled bag with backpack straps, but I can't find one I like. If anyone has suggestions (backpack versus wheeled, wheeled with backpack straps), I'll take them. Price isn't really an issue if it's something that will last.

Wheeled versus backpack - or a combo

The straps are plush and breathable thanks to the perforations found throughout. Whether hiking or urban exploring, the back harness was exceptional.

And one last thing on this laptop compartment... We really like it, but we do wish that there was some weather resistant or aquaguard YKK zippers used, just for some additional moisture protection for your tech

We like to say that the Setout Divide is what the Homebase should have been... We think that Tortuga has really learned a lot and upped their game when it comes to this smaller pack
