 You need three rows for that to work out, but inside dimensions are the same about a half inch different on the height and width, and then the depth is significantly shallower and again this is a 20 liter bag. This is a 21 liter size. So that's pretty again, if you're a shorter frame again, i'm five, nine, and so the gr1 size really fits me perfectly. But this is gon na, be a great camera bag based off of its size and versatility, and it's a little bigger than the bullet 15 liter by about six liters

 I use as my quick access pocket. What I do is the zippers on the front. I try and keep them anywhere towards the top. So, on the go, if I need to open it grab what I need and close it back up, the laura mesh pocket has my electronics pouch

 Is the laptop sleeve like I said this isn't EDC and it was designed as an EDC, so it does have a laptop pocket like all garlic bags to access it. You have to flip the straps back, I'm lucky enough, where I don't need to use this as a laptop of pocket. I actually have a back frame that evenly distributes the weight of the bag. The bag empty is already close to three pounds

 This bag is between 21 and 24 liters. I personally tend to think it falls along the 24 litre and it definitely holds more than some of my 19 or 20 liter backpacks. This bag is made from a thousand D Cordura and, like all the go rock backpacks, it has the slanted front flat pocket and the line of moly at the bottom. I did get a chance to use this bag for a little while before New York and New Jersey completely shut down, as I still had to go to work

 This is not a brown paper bag. It'S actually a packing cube um. This is a packing cube. I generally take with me when I stay at my boyfriend's house, so it has a weekend, maybe a third or fourth day's worth of clothes inside that packing cube

 The bottom is flat, so i think packed out this bag will stand up on its own.  They gave one of my favorites. The radio ruck is a goruck bag. That is small. Basically, it's for small frame people - i am a short short person um, it's it's! It'S short in stature like a and normally a gr1 would be something like this i'll show you next to my bullet

 Since i don't use my wallets very much and uh, let's see so my keys in this front guy my mask because i tend to use those things and this top one i'll put my corona stuff this and this this zippers are all ykk. These are taiwanese made. Ykk zippers, i can tell you already, which is okay um, they tend to be smooth. Go rocks take a little bit to get broken in, as you can see, um like this will take a little while to get smooth, whereas something like this bullet, which is already broken in, is just very smooth, but that's okay anyway, so that's it packed out

I'Ve got my hand sanitizer, so i can put my hand sanitizer in the other mesh guy there then i have my wallet, which is this daybreaker wallet from wayfinder. Carry that i really like and i'll just stick it in the mesh guy on the other side and then we're rolling and zipping that up front pocket now

 Or does that matter? I don't know, let's look at the back. Actually it does we'll talk about in a minute. The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see

 The back. The straps are essentially the same from what i can see. Um the back panel itself, um, it's just slightly longer here, but it's basically the same thing. That does make a difference later, though, when we talk about laptops and how laptops work in here, but aside from that um that are those are the only exterior differences that you can see

 I found that through out the day, I would be constantly adjusting the shoulder straps, load lifters and hip belt. The Circuit will not stay in one position, so you need to tweak the straps every now and then while hiking.

 As each mile, and day passed, the Circuit became more and more comfortable. By Oregon, my pack was a tried and true piece of gear, and I would trust it with any long hike. By Canada, the Circuit was an extension of my body, molded to me so perfectly, I didn’t realize the aluminum stay had snapped from repeated bending. Even with the main support gone with the broken stay, I still threw on my pack and kept hiking, comfortable with my Circuit

 Despite having to carry extra water in the desert, a bear can in the Sierra, and extra rain protection in Washington. The pack lasted the entire hike with some wear and tear associated with extreme, and continuous use. It is ready for another long hike, after some needed, but easy repairs.

 You can combat this with a low base weight, and being smart about how much food and water you should pack. On a thru hike, you have the luxury of time to tinker with your gear list, your diet, and how much water you need to carry in a day. By the end of my thru hike, I was such a good hiker, and was so good at hydrating during breaks, that I did not need to carry more than a half liter of water in case my mouth got dry.

My Custom ULA Circuit is here!!!!  That was fast!

 On their website ULA lists the Circuit’s carrying capacity at 35 pounds. After years of usage I can attest that this is a very accurate estimate and you’re best keeping your bag under 30 pounds for maximum comfort. Tired, or too heavy?  Comfortable, yes, but not outstanding. I would also like to note that this problem is not exclusive to the Circuit. During my PCT thru hike I heard people complaining about pack chafe who were carrying Hyperlite Mountain Gear’s Windrider and Southwest packs, Gossamer Gear’s Mariposa Pack, and even heard complaints from folks carrying Superior Wilderness Designs packs.  I still use my ula circuit over Newer dyneema ($$$)options( it rides well). Just pick out something that fits your all your current gear, and yes that means a larger sized bag.

      Yes, I would recommend a ‘medium’ bag b4 you buying all zpacks or something. A granite gear crown 60, osprey exo’s, dueter air contact, REI flash, ect. At what base weight does considering an ultralight pack like a Mariposa 60 or Exos 58 make sense? I am inexperienced but looking to get out on some 2-7 day hikes in the coming year. I want to go as light as I can while keeping some of the heavier gear that I already have (Jetboil Minimo, Nemo Quasar sleeping pad). I am just trying to figure out which pack makes sense for my experience level. 

At this point, I am aiming for right at 15 lbs.

Base weight for Pack?

I had one of their packs and took it out for a test briefly, and found the shoulder straps were not really wide enough / padded enough for me. Went with a ULA Circuit.

I bought a hyperlite southwest 4400 not too long ago. I took it on several day hikes with like 10 to 12 pounds in it to help break it in and it did just fine. However when I took it out 5 days ago on its first backpacking trip with a 21 pound total weight, it was doing nothing but digging into my shoulders right next to my neck and not riding in my hips at all regardless of how tight or loose the hip belt or shoulder straps were. I always pack my bags the same way with my lightweight and down on the bottom and evenly placing heavier things as I fill the pack to make sure it's not lopsided. 

What I have tried:
Changing how I pack the bag
Tightening the hip belt
Loosening the hip belt
Tightening the shoulder straps
Loosening the shoulder straps
Placing the shoulder straps on a different part of my shoulder (made it worse if anything)

I'm 100% positive I measured correctly because I had 3 separate people measure me using the guide on their website and I was in the middle of the large category so I don't think sizing is the issue. 

I'm not by any means new to backpacking and have used other packs in the past with heavier weight than what I used out there and didn't have this happen with them. This is my first backpack without a wire frame so I don't know if my shoulders are just sensitive or if this is a problem with hyperlites or if I'm an idiot and using it wrong. I love the pack and would hate to return it since it fits my needs perfectly,  but with the pricetag and how badly it hurt my shoulders I might move on to something else if there isn't a fix for this

 So, anyway, we are going to tighten down our shoulder, straps, get that nice and snug and then we'll do our load lifters and get that nice and tucked in. Lastly, we'll do our sternum strap and i'm gon na hope. This does not interfere with my little tiny microphone. If it does, i'm sorry, okay, i think that's good

 You have these compression straps here you have one at the top and and that's also going to help you compress your bag a little bit smaller, depending on, if you're doing just a one-day hike or you know a week-long hike inside. I just have an old sleeping bag, so i'm just going to pull that out and show you inside which isn't much because it's really just a big bag. It'S one big empty bag. That'S what you're going to get with just the base model

 So it's super squishy there's a pad in here, and then it has a loop that supports the whole backpack and brings all of the weight down to your hips. Turning it around to the front you're going to have a shock cord, you know like a little bungee cord on the front. I love these because if i have something that's wet, maybe a towel or tarp or rain jacket or something i need to air out something that i want to grab really easily like you know, maybe my rain jacket, it's just so easy. Just to kind of you know, even if you're just putting it in through one, but i mean ideally you put it through a few, so it doesn't fall out
