HyperX Cloud II Wireless vs JBL UA True Wireless Flash X

The sound is really great (sorry, don't really know how to describe these things yet) and totally different to my previous headsets. I owned the HyperX Cloud II and some no-name amazon headset and I'm glad that I switched. I was really suprised what open-back really mean. Currently I only have the headphones, so no dac/amp or anything (yeah, shame on me, sorry for that) but I'm looking forward on buying a proper interface, since I'm also going to buy a microphone

Bill Callahan’s “Drover,” a track with far less deep bass in the mix, gives us a better sense of the UA True Wireless Flash X’s general sound signature. The drums on this track sound almost thunderous—there’s some serious bass boosting happening here, but the drivers manage to avoid going into wildly unnatural territory. Callahan’s baritone vocals also receive a healthy dose of added low-mid richness, but thankfully, there's plenty of added high-mid- and high-frequency sculpting in play, too. The result is a bright, crisp sound signature anchored by some truly powerful bass depth

I have a separate mic so I dont need a mic on the headphones. Previous headphones have always made me sweaty, fatigued and just plain uncomfortable.

The JBL UA True Wireless Flash are great sports headphones that stand out thanks to their good audio reproduction and their rugged build quality. They're versatile for a wide variety of music genres, are sweat-proof and waterproof, and their bulky design feels durable for most intense sports. Their fit is good and fairly comfortable, on top of sealing off ambient noise, making them well-rounded for most everyday uses. Unfortunately, they won’t be great for watching videos due to their very high latency, and some may feel like four hours of battery life isn’t enough for a single charge

I'll start with the main con and why I gave it three stars. No matter the drivers or the program to use with this headset. What I found to minimize/ get rid of popping/crackling is not using dtsx/spatial sound. Also turning off Exclusive mode and audio enhancements in control panel > sound

I couldn't believe how low but thankfully discovered I had enabled a "slight mute" feature that allows you to speak to others without stopping your music. Once I enabled that then, woah, these things sound great! So yes the sound quality is excellent (once properly fitted!) and these things really do perform well. I did give it an average score for noise cancellation because there isn't any active noise suppression, it's just noise is blocked by the inserts in your ear. My only complaint at this point is that there is no volume control on them

Overall good: Comfortable to wear, good sound, good mic and no need to plug it in everyday. The cons of this headset. This is my opinion, and I understand that some will roll their eyes are some of this, or disagree, but this is what I don't like about them: Wear: No cons, they are some of the most comfortable headphones I have owned. Sound: The sound is really good on these

I liked the idea of these ear buds but I can’t for the life of me get them to stay comfortably in my ears. For context, I am an average adult male, I don’t usually struggle with things not fitting me. Key thing to emphasize - I’ve tried all the various sizing customization pieces included with the buds, but I can’t get the right ear bud to stay securely and comfortably in my ear. To be clear, with the wrong fit these will fall out my ears without even moving, and with the best fitting combination I can get them to mostly stay but they are extremely uncomfortable (borderline painful in that my ear is moderately irritated/sore after wearing them a few hours)

At 300+ hours of use, there's almost no other gaming headset in the ballpark of comparison. As a result, this has become my de facto workhorse for communications at the office. I could use these at the office every day for over a month before needing to charge it. If you find yourself not wanting to charge yet another device, but still want a wireless headset, this one is for you

I use them for roughly an hour every day and so far I haven't had them die in a month (I always put them in the recharging case after use). That's around 30 hours of use and the charger is still at 50% remaining power. They were super easy to connect to my android via Bluetooth. The range on them is so good that I have left my phone at previous weightlifting stations more times than I can count

This is a nice inexpensive headset. Great sound and overall quality. Didn’t want to spend $300 or $400 for too of the line.

It's absolutely awful. These are low volume, medium quality for a high price. Don't buy them.

They swivel in all the necessary directions for a good fit, and a comfortable drop around the neck, but they don't fold or anything, so they're best when they stay at the desk, rather than in transit in a bag. The battery life is fantastic. It's rated at 30 hours, which means that I can go a week or even longer without charging these headphones, even when each day I'm using them for 6 or so hours. This may be due to the battery saving auto-shutoff that they have, or it could be that HyperX underestimated their own batteries

They are amazing the battery life last me about a week in a half and most of the time I just charge it on my way to work. Having the usb c for charging works out great with me using Android. The noise cancelation works so good I gotta take it out to hear what someone is saying . Only thing I wish it had was an app to adjust some of the sound controls

The fact that these are wireless is such a convenience! I've been playing the aforementioned games and had to use the bathroom only to hurry back because I heard footsteps approaching or some other alarming sound haha It's really been a lifesaver. Besides games, being able to go get a drink and still hear my show has been nice too. I'm sure there are better headsets out there, but these seemed good for the price and after a year and a half of near constant use I'm still very happy with them. I would buy them again in a heartbeat if something happened to my pair

They sounded well-balanced, with fairly natural sounding mids and meaty bass that's pretty well defined (read: not boomy). You're dealing with Bluetooth streaming so you're not going to get as clean or detailed sound as you would with a good pair of wired headphones, but most people should be pleased with the sound quality.
