 For reference, I've got it hooked up with a Corsair h100i radiator system, which seems to do the job well of cooling it. In this day and age, I can't imagine doing anything but liquid cooling on a high end processor.  Now, when I can finally get my hands on that one 10GB super-amazing GPU that everyone has been wanting since September, and I've had reserved since then.

 it helps when a "little brother" competitor suddenly outclasses you for less than you are charging... but hey, that works for us Intel fanboys, so we can get our fix for cheaper!!  Only con is that under load, it kicks all my fans/cooling into high gear

  Passmark Benchmarks increased for EVERY component. My 5 year old RAM is now running in the 99th percentile. My 2070 Super isn't bottlenecked. Heck, even my crappy old SSD improved

I basically said "well I know I need a good.monitor and graphics card. Also a lot of memory and a solid gpu." But that was it. 

I am not a tech whiz by any means, and I told this to the interviewer. I mean I can install programs and use the internet, but that's kinda it. I was upfront and said "I am not gifted at tech yet, but I'm honest and work hard and can learn anything." 

This left a good impression on him and after chatting a while he hired me on the spot!

So basically I am hoping there is maybe a YouTube channel or something that can give me the basics through intermediate lessons on how all kinds of tech works and EX0LAIN THE JARGON!

Need help learning about general tech!

9/4.5 cache. Reaches 83-85c in Cinebench (nearly 200w), high 60's/low 70's in BFV 64P MP while pulling around 130-140w (& 400w on GPU). Plan to upgrade the system to Alder Lake later this year!

8 W/mK pads & split the PCIE riser cable into 3 groups to allow more airflow for 120mm fan to exhaust. OC'ed @ 400w w/ undervolt @ +158 core/+1000 memory (1965mhz average), gpu core maxes out at 62c w/ memory around 80c in 4K BFV multiplayer. 64c pulling 390w-400w in Cyberpunk 2077, psycho rtx max settings (still 1965mhz). Fan curve between 50% to 70%

 I used Intel Extreme Overclocking software that they have works really well to kind of test that. so I actually got a micro center so you can get a little bit cheaper if you do that. But overall I've been really happy with it. It does great with Premiere Products, uh, with Lightroom Premiere Pro

 so I just set it up to the point where I thought it was going to be more stable. I didn't push it. I used Intel Extreme Overclocking software that they have works really well to kind of test that. so I actually got a micro center so you can get a little bit cheaper if you do that

Intel i9-10850k 10 Core Desktop CPU - General Consumer Review

 So gaming 10850k, 10900k Share a class, they're in the same spot. They're both at the top of the charts. If you don't want to spend 500, we don't blame you. 10 600k achieves almost all the performance, even stock

 The 10850k ran 157 Fps average with lows at 115 and 105., the 10900k plotted 157 average with lows at 117 and 108, and remember that lows are naturally more variable, so these numbers are all within expectations of the change we're testing. overclocking gets us another 2fps, but we'll have to look at other gains for more than this.  The 10850k is fine. It's just basically a 10 900 k, and unfortunately, it's basically about the same price. Next up is Red Dead Redemption 2 tested with Directx 12 and Medium settings. In this one, the 10850k ends up again with invariants of the 10900k, and so the two perform in a manner which is indistinguishable to the user

I had an i7-7700k for 4-5 years, and when I got my 2080 Super I had to push that old i7 to a heavy overclock to get as much performance from it as I could. So I had been looking to upgrade my CPU for a while. Of course the debate came up if Ryzen was better or if Intel should even be considered. I'll admit, I still like Intel in my heart, but I wasn't getting 11th Gen, its expensive for basically no more performance

 It has my 2080 Super performing at its best without the sweat and strain my 7700k had to. I had to push that 7700k to 5.2 Ghz, where I could feel it straining, to really see RTX gaming performance at its smoothest above 1080p. This 10850k boosted just from the base BIOS on my mobo to 4

  Honestly, I gotta say, it does what it promises. It has 10 cores that can run like a beast. It has my 2080 Super performing at its best without the sweat and strain my 7700k had to. I had to push that 7700k to 5

 And so when using something like Android Studio, uh, pulling up the Vm on, I think it was like a Nexus 3 or something or some Vm inside of Android Studio. It was very smooth. It really was on this channel. We've looked at Macbook Pros, Mac Minis, Macbook Airs, and I always always do a test with Android Studio as well as Xcode to see how the Vms work inside or how the Vms work with the processors

 This Cpu is awesome for that and I am recommending this Cpu over Amd uh which its equivalent would be the 3600 which is also a six core 12 thread part. The reason I'm doing that is because Android Studio, for example, works better in my mind. with Intel, it's easier to get that Vm going than what it is with Ryzen. With Ryzen, you do have to patch it

97 Okay, and then in Geekbench we seen a single quart of 1106 and a multi-core of 59. Let's say an average of seventy dollars. You know you don't have to buy a Gpu with it if you don't want to. it's got one integrated in it and then you've got a really good, really good development machine

 With Z490, you can go it to higher memory and so for our test we're going to look at it both at stock and then as well as with base clock overclocking. and so with this you can do a max base clock of about 102.9 which if you do your math times 40 which is the multiplier, you get about 4 100.

Intel i5 10400 Review: The Programmers Choice!

 Once we put more pressure on the Gpu at 1440p, however, the 10400s lead over the 3600 is typically too small to make a noticeable difference. Now, even with the same corn thread count, the Ryzen 3600 still manages to have the upper hand when it comes to productivity workloads, although this time around, it seems like its leads are a bit more inconsistent than they've traditionally been. For example, the 3600 absolutely destroys the Intel chip when it comes to Adobe Premiere Pro and Handbrake, but its leads elsewhere are pretty marginal, meaning that the core I5 could be enjoying some of that new hyper-threading support. Still, I feel like the 10-400 would be a lot more competitive if it was unlocked

 Assuming you have adequate cooling in the basic know-how you can easily take the 3600 beyond the stock frequencies. The other thing that I'll mention though, is that since this is a locked chip, you don't have to buy a Z490 motherboard, which tend to be a bit more expensive than Intel's cheaper 400 series boards like their upcoming B460 boards, This definitely makes the upfront cost of a 10 400 a lot more competitive with something like the Ryzen 5 3600 compared to the other unlocked 10th gen Cpus we've seen so far. This chip also includes a stock cooler. It's Intel's basic stock cooler that none of us really like, but it's there
