9 gigahertz on the 9900k. I pretty much was running a 4.7 gigahertz overclock on the 8700k, so we're gonna see some improvement just purely based on cpu speed. Uh, but it's a lot easier to hit that overclock with the 9900k, keeping temperatures very very similar to that of the 8700k at the 4

 I see a lot bigger jumps in performance coming from both of those companies in the near future. So holding out and just upgrading to the 9900k was what I thought was the best decision right now. And whatever performance increases we might have seen with going with one of those newer chips definitely doesn't outweigh the cost currently and what we're going to end up spending down the line when we upgrade eventually. Anyways, and the 9900k is definitely no slouch

 This processor really does the job incredibly well. However you definitely really need to save up for a better cpu cooler on the market to keep this beast cooled.  If you intend to game on this. PLEASE by all means save up for a better one or get a cheaper one

 I'm just using basic H115i PRO AIO cooling and have yet to see any workload force throttling to the official 3.6 GHz speeds. -Times have really changed since my hard core overclocking days 20 years ago. With throttles disabled, the CPU does exactly what I would want to achieve

) -Except for initial setup and testing, I don't manually overclock the 9900k since that would only give me about 3% more performance than I get running optimized with no power restrictions enabled (e.g. out of Intel TDP spec, but the common default for these early Z390 boards). If you've already got a Z390-chipset, LGA 1151 motherboard and have been waiting to upgrade to the i9-9900K, the Core i9-9900KS is absolutely worth the extra $30 or so over the i9-9900K, assuming that is how the price difference actually shakes out. Outside of that, AMD still sits strong as our recommended pick for the best mainstream desktop power processors money can buy in the second half of 2019.

I9-9900K is suitable for use as workstation CPU It took me a long time to receive the product. First of all: the 9th generation CPU can still be used on the Z370 motherboard (users need to update to the latest BIOS); but if the result you want is the pleasure of overclocking, it is recommended that you replace the high-end Z390 motherboard, or you use the very expensive Z370 motherboard (such as MSI's Z370 Godlike motherboard, which is super-high. The Z370 motherboard at the end provides better CPU power supply capability)

 And so when using something like Android Studio, uh, pulling up the Vm on, I think it was like a Nexus 3 or something or some Vm inside of Android Studio. It was very smooth. It really was on this channel. We've looked at Macbook Pros, Mac Minis, Macbook Airs, and I always always do a test with Android Studio as well as Xcode to see how the Vms work inside or how the Vms work with the processors

 This Cpu is awesome for that and I am recommending this Cpu over Amd uh which its equivalent would be the 3600 which is also a six core 12 thread part. The reason I'm doing that is because Android Studio, for example, works better in my mind. with Intel, it's easier to get that Vm going than what it is with Ryzen. With Ryzen, you do have to patch it

 With Z490, you can go it to higher memory and so for our test we're going to look at it both at stock and then as well as with base clock overclocking. and so with this you can do a max base clock of about 102.9 which if you do your math times 40 which is the multiplier, you get about 4 100.
