The microphone keeps working though.

Whenever I go on a call my microphone keeps working but all sound is muted, please help. I looked through the FAQs and manual and can't see why.

If I use my standalone desktop mic for input then calls work fine. My Jabra headset just refuses to be used for input and output at the same time.

The only thing searching the FAQs elucidated was for another model: 'The listen-in feature may be activated. This feature allows you to hear your surroundings without having to remove your headset. In this mode, music and calls are muted (not paused); however, the microphone remains on.' 

This sounds exactly like my problem, but this does not appear to be a feature on Elite 45h.

I also didn't even receive a manual with my product. Sorry for my complaining post, really no idea what's going on.

Jabra Elite 45h mutes sound on calls

Both the Jabra 45h and Status BT One came in with excellent reviews and didn't offer too much isolation according to their tests. I decided to order the Status BT Ones as they were down to $50, but then later saw Best Buy had the Jabra 45h's in store for $70, so I figured I would try them too and keep whichever pair I preferred. 

I have been using the Jabra's at home as I wait for the Statuses, and I will say they are extremely comfortable with very neutral sound, and excellent clarity, and I can hear conversation and background noise well enough at home.

 I decided to order the Status BT Ones as they were down to $50, but then later saw Best Buy had the Jabra 45h's in store for $70, so I figured I would try them too and keep whichever pair I preferred.

I run a press that encodes and prints RFID labels. One perk of the job is that we are allowed to wear headphones, BUT, **it is still important to be able to hear the press and surroundings in case anything goes wrong** (can't hit the "F11" key fast enough if you hear paper ripping). 

I currently have some cheap Amazon behind-the-head-on-the-ear BT "sports" headphones that served me fairly well for 6 years, but the ear cups are coming apart, and being a glasses wearer, they start to dig in around my ears after a few hours into my 10hrs shifts. The sound quality is pretty decent, but I find the bass a bit exaggerated and fatiguing after a few hours, especially with podcasts.

**At home for music listening I use my AKG K92 over-the-ears and like the clarity and neutral sound they deliver.** 

**At work, I listen to a wide variety**: rock, hip hop, podcasts, musicals, audio books, television (via YouTube), etc. 

**I really like the idea of the Grado GW100's** and their "semi-open" design, upgradable/replaceable ear cups, etc., but unfortunately $225 is more than I should spend. 

**Battery life is important**. My shifts are 10hrs, so I'm there 10.5hrs a day plus 30 minutes transit time walking to/from work each day for a total of 11hrs+ "on" time each day. 

**Comfort, obviously, is key** with how many hours I wear them. Too much clamping force tends to make my tragus and upper ear sore.

Regarding the warranty on your Jabra Move Style Edition, the headset comes with a Manufacturer's warranty that begins the day you purchase the headset. There is no need to sign up for anything to obtain this warranty. You will, however, need to keep a copy of your purchase receipt as you will need it should you ever need a warranty replacement of your headset.

 If you’re worried about bass, don’t be. So long as they’re in your ears right, the Buds Live can kick out plenty of oomph on the bottom end. These sound excellent and just what I’d hoped for considering the $170 price. 

 If you buy the Galaxy Buds Live because of the advertised noise canceling, you’ll be sorely underwhelmed and disappointed. 

 That’s intentional and where I think the “Live” part of the name comes from. These aren’t going to drown out your co-workers when we get back to the office someday, nor are they going to be your preferred airplane companions. Samsung says it designed the Buds Live to eliminate very low frequencies — think the persistent hum of an air conditioner or the rumbling of an Amtrak — and you can hear some of that ambient sound get sliced off when you turn on active noise cancellation. 

With three total beamforming mics — two on the exterior and one inside — the Galaxy Buds Live have performed just fine during my Zoom meetings and voice calls. Samsung says they also have a “voice pickup unit” in the hardware for improved speech detection. You can use either bud independently while the other is charging in the case. 

An unconventional design turns out to be a winner

They have a distinctive look, feel surprisingly stable and comfortable, and have slightly warm and well-balanced sound profile that should suit a broad range of audio content. The new Galaxy Buds Live would be a good option, a little over budget at retailers but there are loads going on ebay because they were a free promotion item with the Note 20 Ultra

Not sure if this is a category people look for. Whenever I try searching or narrowing down my results, all I can find is the opposite end of the spectrum where people want MAXIMUM CANCELLATION

I am looking for the opposite, maybe earbuds that have horrible cancellation, but have software I can turn on and off for noise cancellation? Instead of the cancellation being hardware based.

What buds do you recommend for work? I want to hear media but also hear my coworkers

TBH, the Galaxy Buds Live are the what I use most often day-to-day. They're reliable, comfortable, and good enough for casual listening.

Just trying to get an idea of what people use in this hobby. Lmk why in the comments!

What do you use when you need isolation indoors (eg. home, work, cafe)?

I use Samsung Galaxy Buds Live. They sit on the ear, not in it, and have been secure even when riding very hard. I think they sound way better than the Aftershokz when I tried them and won’t interfere with your helmet.

I ride on trails only not every on any open roads and I’m looking for a pair of headphones that are comfortable and stay on. I have airpods which don’t stay and feel like they’re about to fall off and I have soundcore that were pretty comfortable but the black suction cup thing on the headphone fell off while riding. I’ve read a lot of people recommending aftershokz. I like how apparently you can still hear the outside so it’s extra safe. Would you recommend them and if not are there any good alternatives? Willing to spend anywhere up to like $100-$150 max.
