My JBL live 400bt's buttons are getting out of shape by dropping them frequently while exercising. The buttons are now pushed in, stuck, and automatically turns on "talkative" mode. I learned my lesson and I'm going to get a set of wireless earbuds to exercise in. Although, I'm going to get another set of Bluetooth cans to replace my Live 400bt's

The 6 Best On-Ear Headphones - Spring 2022

 The blue flashing flight indicating the headphones were in pairing mode was easy to spot and my mobile device vibrated and indicated that it was trying to connect. After another quick vibration I was prompted to download the My JBL Headphones app. The app was easy to use with intuitive prompts to set up Google assistant. My first try of Talk Thru and Ambient Aware was fantastic

 When music is playing and I press the Talk Thru button on the app the music goes too quiet for my liking. When I double press the action button on the headphones to activate the feature to ask the Google assistant, an Oriental tongue speaks a long sentence which I am unable to decipher. However, sound is good. Listening to bad guy by Billie Eilish was brilliant

I wanted to test these JBL Live 400 headphones because I've been frustrated with all types of cheaper headphones. In-ear ones fallout all the time and on-ear tend to hurt after a while. I was expecting these JBL Live 400 headphones to be comfortable and with some useful features that are simple to use. I turned the headphones on with a flick of a sliding switch

 However, sound is good. Listening to bad guy by Billie Eilish was brilliant. It would be better if the button to access Google assistant notifications was used to access the Talk Thru facility because it is an easier button to locate on the headphones. The instructions could be clearer indicating which ear is left and which is right

I need over ears (I think)

 Everything sounded the same to me. Overall though, I like the headphones. They sound great and I am keeping them because of JBL’s reliability in quality.

Great sound; not so comfortable

So I've gotten the chance to play around with these a little. Turns out I've been missing these for a long time. Besides the tightness around my ears, they practically block out all sound outside of them. They're amazing color makes them noticeable while heading down the street

A lovely comfy fit with an great adjustable fabric band. Some headphones I find can’t go quite as small as my head but this one fits snug. The battery life is wonderful.  If they sit more comfortably on your head, you could definitely do worse at the price point.

 Pairing them to my computer and phone was a breeze. Unfortunately, once I had them set up, I realized how uncomfortable they were. I don't have a particularly large head but these really felt like they were crushing my ears. I couldn't see using them for more than 20-30 minutes at a time

 Overall, the comfort level was enough reason for me to return and the spotty features just reinforced the decision. They sounded great and definitely had a premium feel but they didn't work for me. If they sit more comfortably on your head, you could definitely do worse at the price point.

 What the hell? But on the left earphone, at least you get this thing called talk through, which is ambient to wear, but not to the full degree here. The microphone turns on, and some of the audio outside is pumped into your ear so you can hear the other person and a little bit of yourself so you're not screaming at that person.  Some do prefer this, and it is more comfortable, but your audio might not be as direct and as impactful as others. As for volume, these do get loud, 50% for casual listening is good, 70% negative people are blocked out, and I am in a trance here at 70%. Now, bass wise, if you have a good seal on these, this is JBL's audio signature for sure. It's punchy bass-boosted audio that compliments pop, hip hop, and EDM really well
