PBT key caps ISO - budget, ideally calm aesthetic look. Not transparent, I will turn off the RGB in GMMK.

I believe I will enjoy the linear, light-press and low-sound experience of these switches in a GMMK dampened.

Why is an incline considered an improvement? Looking at the Keychron K2 revised version. I've always preferred to type with feet down, for a more natural angle of the wrist. Surely it's mostly preference, but what is the argument for an incline from a comfort/ergonomics standpoint? Always thought it's just to see what you're pressing on easier.

Hi everyone! I am new to the community and would like to get some help on picking the right keyboard.

I am looking for a 65% - tkl ( ideally 75%)

My required features are wireless and hotswap and something that won't break the bank.

I seem to only be able to find that Keychron k2v2 fulfills most of the criteria. However, I am not fond of the switches nor the keycaps.

I also think that even by purchasing a k2 with keycaps and switches separately I still save over getting a really expensive barebones.

I just got the YUNZII KC84 and tested the GMMK Full keyboard. The KCj84 are red gaterons while the GMMK were browns. The YUNZII felt "better" in terms of build and typing, like the caps were more rigid instead of plasticy like the GMMK, although they seemed like the same keycaps. The spacing on the KC84 was more compact, but made it seem more stable. The GMMK had more space between but every time the key came up, it rattled. Is this because of switches, caps, or maybe the board itself? Anyways, i'm going to test blues on the KC84 to see what I like. I like the red's sound, but it's a little too sensitive, the short actuation made me mistype a lot. The browns were a pretty good sensitivity and actuation, but just didn't sound and feel nice. I was getting \~10 wpm more on the browns. Any advice given this, on a good keyboard and switches? I'm favoring the 75% vs full know, but tkl is not bad. I like the KC84's spacing of the F buttons, it's jsut as compact as the number row, unlike other kb's where the f is noticeably separate.

I'm looking for a wireless mechanical keyboard that I can switch between multiple PCs to clear up my desk space.


I need a full layout keyboard, and I do a lot of graphics intensive work that relies on a lot of funny hotkey combinations. 


I do not want an ergonomic shape, but I do tend to put pressure on my wrist which I use a pad for, a included rest is ok, but hopefully removable so I can use my current comfortable pad if a included one doesn't work out. 


Thanks in advance for any pointers! There's a lot out there and was feeling lost, budget is hopefully around ~$135.

* works great - I have seen some posts in this sub about LEDs dying and/or getting stuck on, entire keys not working, entire keyboard not working but I have had zero functionality issues with mine. After a little research watching some youtube comparison videos and after discussion with a friend who is into mech kb at an "enthusiast" level I decided that browns were right for me (tactile bump, no click) so I went with Kailh box brown as it was the only brown the vendor I purchased from had in stock at the time. I love them and will most likely get Kailh box brown (or equivalent) on my next kb.

* solid construction - keys/switches feel very stable, the whole keyboard has a satisfying amount of weight to it despite being a plastic case

>2. very limited support. ducky only makes the keyboard, but any problems you encounter relies solely on the distributor. although most of the problems you see here are from user error (wrong firmware and spilling liquid), ducky will only assist in the minimal amount possible.

>3. you can get a more functional and versatile keyboard for a fraction of the cost. there are so many affordable mech keyboards now. i got a gk61 for $30. it has software that makes me create custom macros and program 3 whole layers of functionality. it's hot swappable and i don't feel like i wasted money. you can also find keyboards that have BT wireless or even be programmed with QMK.

>if you still want to get a ducky though, i recommend you wait for the "one 3" line. hot swappable keys and sound mods.

additionally, i know the anne is similar to the gk (minus wireless). if you like the functional layers and macros, you will feel very sad you wasted money on such a basic keyboard. i know i did, once i found out how limited duckys are compared to my gk. the lack of software programming and customization makes it feel very basic.

as for silent reds vs standard reds, imo they are just slightly smoother, lighter and quieter. so if you want like a "red+" switch that is basically what's silent red.

<li><p>no software. this means you get VERY minimal customization. macros are based solely on user input. RGB is limited to 2 layers (1 programmed bottom and 2 custom profile upper). also some keys can&#39;t be customized because they are indicator keys for programming the macros and rgb. they promised a software since 2019, and this was supposed to be only for RGB!!!</p></li>
<li><p>very limited support. ducky only makes the keyboard, but any problems you encounter relies solely on the distributor. although most of the problems you see here are from user error (wrong firmware and spilling liquid), ducky will only assist in the minimal amount possible.</p></li>
<li><p>you can get a more functional and versatile keyboard for a fraction of the cost. there are so many affordable mech keyboards now. i got a gk61 for $30. it has software that makes me create custom macros and program 3 whole layers of functionality. it&#39;s hot swappable and i don&#39;t feel like i wasted money. you can also find keyboards that have BT wireless or even be programmed with QMK.</p></li>

<p>additionally, i know the anne is similar to the gk (minus wireless). if you like the functional layers and macros, you will feel very sad you wasted money on such a basic keyboard. i know i did, once i found out how limited duckys are compared to my gk. the lack of software programming and customization makes it feel very basic.</p>

<p>as for silent reds vs standard reds, imo they are just slightly smoother, lighter and quieter. so if you want like a &quot;red+&quot; switch that is basically what&#39;s silent red.</p>

I got the ducky one 2 mini and the ducky one 2 SF.   


I prefer the SF because you also get the arrow keys but almost the same keyboard width. I mostly use caps + ijkl for arrows, but some times the arrows on the SF is really nice when say you want to skip in videos or one hand got to next slides etc or what ever you do.   


My perfect keyboard would be SF if it also was wireless.

Should I buy the Ducky One 2 Mini?

i used Kailh Box Navys at work (loud lab) and moved to a open work space, within 3 days i got complaints that i was ruining conference calls. I had new parts on the way to replace it, i thought i could get by a couple weeks while i waited for them.
