Keychron K4 vs Keychron K2

Personally, I wish Keychron had designed this board more ergonomically. It is THICK. You absolutely need a wrist rest unless you prefer to hover over your board. Not a big deal, but something to consider before buying

Update: soooo… I had to get rid of it. After a couple weeks and every wrist rest and desk arrangement I could find, it was too tall for me. Key travel, cool lights and clacking were great, but if your typing style isn’t the best (mine isn’t) you may find yourself with wrist pain and numb hands. I have a keychron K4 and it is pretty awesome. Switched from a noname mech and the Logitech g810 orion spectrum. I preferred the noname Zalman tenkeyless compared to the Logitech but I need the numpad and decided to buy the K4 since I found it second hand here for a great price. \- Must be full size, with space between the arrow and 10-key pad. (The 96% Keychron K4 isn't going to cut it for me, too cramped.).

This review was typed on the Keychron K2 with PBT keycaps and Gateron Brown switches. PROS - Great compact size and layout. 84-keys is the perfect size to stay very compact while giving you the keys you need and use readily. - The brown color on the PBT edition is fantastic

They have a workaround that enables remapping the Page Up key to this function but again... odd

I think there's a firmware upgrade that gives you a feature to lock light patterns, so that probably solves this problem. I have found some weird things going on with this keyboard though. It doesn't play nicely on bluetooth with some macOS devices, and it seems to "keep" my 2008 Macbook pro constantly awake, which really annoying. A firmware update might fix this in the future

Here's the thing: it is **absolutely not of the same quality as the V1**. * I don't know if this is an issue with all of Keychron's hot-swappable keyboards, or if this is an issue with the first batch of k$ V2s because they were in a rush to ship - but nearly every key on this keyboard is wobbly.

I bought the K2 keyboard due to massive positive reviews on youtube. However, this keyboard doesn't really live up to its praises received from Youtube reviewers. If you buy the plastic version, it feels really cheaply made. Even for the Aluminum version, only the sides are made of Aluminum and the entire back is still plastic

Ive been eyeing on keychron keyboards since word of mouth says they are good. The Keychron K4 brown switch hot swappable white led particularly caught my eye since I wanted a keyboard with a numpad and the K4 has it while being compact so I dig the design. I really dont think rgb goes well for keychron keyboards so the white is good enough, and its a bonus that its hot swappable.

I work with a Macbook Pro in a desktop mode, so I have an external monitor and the keyboard. The first impression was great. It looks well build. The withe light is a cool white tone perfect for an office and home

One day the RGB backlighting just stopped working, but all other functionality continued normally. Keychron support was pretty responsive, and after some back & forth I was able to do a factory reset which fixed the issue.
