I purchased this over the Sea to Summit bag solely for packing my miscellaneous camping gear in and using it as a carry-on on the Amtrak. This was for a bikepacking trip on the gap and CO canal towpath. I went with his pack because you can fit two water bottles in the side pocket which is awesome it is way more comfortable than the S2S bag. It’s heavier than the S2S bag, but the flexibility and the way the bag sits on your back makes it a lot better for travel

It just doesn't stack up against the competition. I've used the Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil (probably this pack's direct competition), as well as slightly heavier ultralight day packs (the REI flash 18 and the Gregory integrated daypack sold with full sized packs). In comparison to the Sea to Summit offering, this pack is nearly twice as heavy and far less comfortable. As countless other reviewers have mentioned, the straps on this are poorly designed and become very uncomfortable quickly

Lightweight, just enough compartments and the interior zippered compartment saved my cellphone after a quick dip in the bay.

This pocket is also perfect for my climbing shoes and chalk! The adjustable straps are comfortable and the bag was perfect for my average frame. I didn't have any discomfort wearing it for long periods of time. There are plenty of pockets, love the secret stash pocket that can hold my maps, pens, and journal. On the other side of the pack an extra Nalgene bottle can be placed and there is another zipper for access to it

2) This pack for me seems best when not loaded heavily. I put my camera, kit lens, power bank, extra battery, extra shirt and rain jacket, wallet , keys and small items, with total weight of 2.2 kg and it was ok, but heavier than that was not very comfortable while wearing on shirt. If you wear a jacket , than the straps won't dig into your shoulders as much and you can go with 3 or 4 kilos, depends on you

I'm a light traveler and do not travel with any checked luggage. For more, comfort, versatility and the ability to travel through airports, ferries, cabs, trains quickly and ease is absolutely critical. I need to carry my bag and run around without any impediments.

Here's why: Stowing it into its own pouch is a chore; and, results in a lump. I recommend a larger included pouch. It's easier just to throw it flat in my luggage, if I'm looking to take an extra container. The straps might better fit a child, or someone with a seriously narrow frame

I am small framed through the shoulders, so this may not be an issue with larger builds, but it would keep me from using this pack on long hikes.

This is a nice little bag. It was deal of the day it took forever to get here I don’t know where they’re made by it took forever to get. Weighs a few ounces. Very very small nice and you can fit a lot of stuff in it

The water bottle spots on the sides are big and can be tightened, very nice. Even that front netting is useful sometimes. But I don't really hike, I bought the pack as a daily driver and it's not suited. The pack just isn't robust enough, but then it's a little too tall so it flops over when you set it down
