Marshall Kilburn II vs Marshall Uxbridge Voice

Marhsall offers no shortage of Bluetooth speakers, and at $299.99, the Kilburn II fits somewhere in between the Stockwell II and the Tufton in terms of both price and size. Even for a mid-size model, the Kilburn II is portable in the sense that you can carry it by its strap, but it's too heavy and bulky to, say, throw in a backpack. The good news is that it can deliver some serious power for its size, and adjustable bass and treble knobs allow you to alter its sound signature to suit your tastes

This was a gift for my wife and she couldn’t get it set up without my help. The Marshall app AND the Alexa App are both required, not optional. Just suck it up and do that. Alexa is actually linked through the Marshall App which was a little confusing because the setup didn’t happen for me seamlessly

If you read up on the SDK, they were just greedy and lazy. Additional features carry guidelines and requirements from Amazon so Marshall did the absolute minimum they had to so they could put the Alexa branding on their products. Also everytime you connect or plug it in, it makes this stupid sound and it literally like skips the song, like it’ll play the sound and then like 5 seconds of the song was silenced. It never reconnected to my phone I always had to turn it off and turn it back on to get it to be on cause jt like shuts off after like 5 minutes of you being away from it. Kilburn 1 is a better option by far. Not worth my $271!

You're probably looking at this bluetooth speaker the same way I did -the namesake, the aesthetics and, well, the namesake. Let me save you some trouble -if aesthetics is at the top of your list, then it's a pretty cool looking bluetooth speaker. Some of the others look a bit cheap and clunky so I get it. I personally wanted something that would look nice on my desk and could play loud a- music with above average sound quality while I'm doing chores

Marshall could have added a cord keeper and/or made the pricing more competitive, but this is a solid purchase and I have zero regrets. I'd happily do it again.
