This is not a game night game for first time players. If anyone you know has ever played, seek them for counsel on learning how to play. Be prepared, upon first play to study the directions and the intentions of each type of card. Set aside two hours, at least, to read each card, and understand how it is used

We need to replace thick tiles with thin cards because thin cards are easy to carry, and because thin cards are easy to shuffle, and because thin cards have no engravings on the side that is face up to prevent from cheating by touch.

Firstly some of the cards are ambiguous which does require a set of house rules to make it easier to play. Secondly I really wish it came with a way to keep score at the end of it we use a very basic map that I created myself and some monopoly pieces to keep score. Once again I love Munchkin and it is really one of my favorite games.

They are required to pull a card from the deck until they have a card that they can play. This could mean the individual takes 1 card or has the risk of taking 16 cards.

Overall, buy this game, call over several of your buds, and be ready to kick down the door, kill the monster, and backstab your friends, for Munchkin is as good as ever.

There is enough randomness in the game, that regardless of skill you may win or lose, which, again, is great for the kids. Given that it's roughly the size of two decks of cards, it's easy to throw in a bag to take on a trip.

Each game is different depending on the hand you are dealt and you get to decide if you want to help, ignore, or hurt other players to help yourself. Ridiculous names and weird abilities are just half the fun for a game where sheer luck of the cards can help you trick, steal, rescue, or barter to get what you want.
