So, the new card seems to run slightly hotter than the last one at idle, but lower at gaming with ultra settings. I think this is something I can live with, especially since the new placement of the computer puts the fans within reach and I still feel cool-to-warmish (but not hot) air being expelled. I will eventually get a third card also. The only reason this isn't a 5 star card is the fact that it isnt offered with a pre installed water block, there are no full cover water blocks, and that the card is a case heat discharge type instead of case intake. Dumps a lot of heat in the case, make sure you have a ton of airflow and proper design. If you can manage to scoop one of these up, do it. The pricing was fair (especially the way the market is currently) when I purchased this early February. Somewhat surprisingly, too, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti slightly bested the GeForce GTX Titan X on a few of our tests. The GeForce GTX 980 Ti's edge is likely due primarily to driver updates since we tested the GeForce GTX Titan X a few months ago. Still, given the price difference, the GeForce GTX 980 Ti is the clear choice between the two for those primarily interested in PC gaming.

Rev 1 still running strong. It's still got a few tricks up its sleeve.

When I purchased this card, it was substantially less expensive. I actually purchased it as an upgrade from my Radeon card (not to say that AMD is any less of a brand, nor Radeon any less of a GPU, but I needed hardware compatibility for the IRay render engine as well as VR readiness). However it still competes with the current video cards, and I've put it up against not only games, but also some industrial applications like AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Maya.

Worthy upgrade from a GTX 680 to another single card powerhouse

I needed a card that sits exactly how my GTX 680 sat, mainly due to the power pin cabling position. As my photo shows, thisEVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti ACX SC+ ACX 2.0+ Graphics Card with Backplate 06G-P4-4995-KR works perfectly (as my 680 had a backplate too, made sense to get another backplated as well). My 3DMark Fire Strike score doubled with the 980 Ti (from 7187 to 14933), right out of the box boosted to 1316 MHz @ 1193 mV, which may differ, as mine came with an ASIC of 74
