Sound Quality

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

(1/3)

With three total beamforming mics — two on the exterior and one inside — the Galaxy Buds Live have performed just fine during my Zoom meetings and voice calls. Samsung says they also have a “voice pickup unit” in the hardware for improved speech detection. You can use either bud independently while the other is charging in the case.

Beats Studio Buds

While I can't say they sound fantastic, they do sound a little smoother and better balanced than the Powerbeats Pro.

Comfort

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

(1/1)

TBH, the Galaxy Buds Live are the what I use most often day-to-day. They're reliable, comfortable, and good enough for casual listening.

Beats Studio Buds

I’m going back to the Powerbeats because I thoroughly enjoyed how long the battery life lasts and i don’t feel like it’s gonna fall out of my ear like the buds when I’m running around Keep in mind, I have never tried AirPods Pro. Maybe I should

Bluetooth Connectivity

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

(1/1)

The new Galaxy Buds Live would be a good option, a little over budget at retailers but there are loads going on ebay because they were a free promotion item with the Note 20 Ultra

Beats Studio Buds

There’s an app for Android, while in iOS, the Beats experience is similar to that of the AirPods: In the Bluetooth menu, you can access a settings page by tapping on the Beats Studio Pro info icon. Here you can assign the press-and-hold function on either ear to activate ANC (this is the default setting) or Siri, or you can have each ear assigned to a different function. You can also manually switch between ANC on, ANC off, and Transparency modes on this screen, as you can do in the iOS control center by pressing and holding on the volume icon, which reveals a mini settings page for the Studio Buds.

Fit

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

(1/1)

If you’re worried about bass, don’t be. So long as they’re in your ears right, the Buds Live can kick out plenty of oomph on the bottom end. These sound excellent and just what I’d hoped for considering the $170 price.

Beats Studio Buds

As I said, these were designed with both iPhone and Android users in mind. For starters, the case is nice and compact -- it's just a little bigger than the AirPods Pro's case -- and it has USB-C charging instead of Lightning charging. Yes, you heard that right: USB-C. (A short USB-C to USB-C cable is included, but no charger is included

Noise Cancellation

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

(1/2)

If you buy the Galaxy Buds Live because of the advertised noise canceling, you’ll be sorely underwhelmed and disappointed.

Battery life is rated at five hours at moderate volume levels with noise-canceling or transparency mode on and eight hours with it off. The noise-canceling battery life number is in line with the AirPods Pro and you can get two additional charges from the charging case, which doesn't have wireless charging (in case you were wondering). If totally depleted, the buds and case take about two hours to fully charge -- and you get one hour of playback time from a five-minute charge in the case. Beats calls this feature Fast Fuel

Battery Life

Beats Studio Buds

(1/2)

The media could not be loaded. I am returning this purchase (or maybe give it a week or two). Bass is not good enough considering beats by Dre is what it’s known for. Battery life sucks - definitely not worth the price

Durability

Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

(1/1)

i grew up in the 1970's and 1980's. i have had and worn more earphone types through the nearly 50 years than i can even count! these are by far the best i have ever owned and worn! the sound is dynamic! i love the ability to noise cancel! most inner ear earphones hurt my ears after 15 or 20 min of wearing them i can leave these in for hours without pain or discomfort!

Beats Studio Buds

Honestly, I don’t think they can last up to 8 hrs. straight, as Beats claims (without putting ‘em occasionally into the charging case). Wearing ‘em “on and off”, the battery charge level drops rapidly within a couple of hours. (neither ANC nor Transparency mode activated) Hmm… Physical “click buttons” suck! Sticking ‘em into my ears (with my sausage fingers) can be quite challenging sometimes
