Fit

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/1)

” I’m not some masochist who likes wearing over-ear headphones outside in the sweltering summer heat, but I’ve found the 1000XM4s to be plush and comfortable when worn for several hours around my apartment. Thanks to a new sensor inside the left ear cup, the headphones can now detect when you remove them from your ears and will pause audio until you put them back on.

with no drop outs. The fit is is straightforward and stay in your ear without any special adaptors. They pair quickly , without fail and the battery life is good. But

Sound Quality

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/3)

(Sony has assured me that the 1000XM4s will perform reliably in cold weather after it was found that the M3s had significant touch sensor problems in winter.) And aside from a few tweaks Sony made to how it upscales music, the 1000XM4s sound just like their predecessors — a very good thing, trust me.

Sennheiser CX 400BT

On Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “No Church in the Wild,” the kick drum loop receives an ideal high-mid presence, allowing its attack to retain its punchiness. The sub-bass synth hits that punctuate the beat are delivered with plenty of subwoofer-like push, but nothing that overtakes the balance of the mix. The vinyl crackle and hiss in the background take a very slight step forward, while the vocal performances on this track are delivered cleanly and clearly without much, if any, added sibilance.

Price Point

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/1)

The price is a bit higher than I would have preferred, but didn’t find better choices at a cheaper price. On the other hand I can’t see myself ever spending this much on headphones. I know there are people who can and will, but to me there’s nothing in that product to justify the price. It also feels like any product Apple releases gets bonus review points (which I think is just confirmation bias), just because Apple made it

Sennheiser CX 400BT

(1/2)

Yes, the price is high, but there’s an argument to be made for these as the best sounding cable-free in-ears below $250. They're not the best for the gym, but if your priority is audio performance, the CX 400BT earphones earn our Editors' Choice award for their fantastic sound quality and user-friendly design.

Noise Cancellation

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/3)

This feature-packed pair significantly reduces the noise of voices around you and can sound fantastic. But these headphones are pricey and require a good deal of setup.

. . ditch the airpods ( which are like a uniform these days) and get your self a pair of these earbuds ; can't imagine you could do better except if you want true noise cancelling. '

Bluetooth Connectivity

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/1)

For a lot of the ones I tested, it becomes an exercise in patience and frustration. There were even some that refused to pair with more than one device at a time at all, meaning that every time you switch a device, you have to do the whole pairing process again. And that wasn't 10 years ago, i tested this less than 2 years ago.And even the whole pairing process is annoying

Sennheiser CX 400BT

Internally, 7mm dynamic drivers deliver a frequency range of 5Hz to 21kHz. These are, according to Sennheiser, the same drivers that are found in the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, and deliver a more or less identical sound signature. The earphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.1, and support AAC, AptX, and SBC codecs

Battery Life

Sennheiser CX 400BT

(1/1)

I own this headset for over 4 months now: I enjoy its full and balanced sound (well, I only listen to classical music), good call quality, and reasonable passive noise cancellation. I don't like: - the battery life is well short of the promised 20 hours in the item presentation on the Amazon site. After quite a few charges I can say with great certainty that the battery life is at most 12.5 hours! So it seems to me the manufacturer promise is grossly misleading or in the best case, my headset is defective! - the touch commands - they are flimsy and unprecise causing not once to reject a call instead of accepting it, while I can swear that I touched the right earbud only once

Comfort

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/2)

Sony has made some subtle design tweaks; they’re just the kind you can’t see. The head cushion at the top has been slimmed down; the ear pads now have 10 percent greater surface area for more contact with your head; and the curve of the headband has been “fine tuned.” I’m not some masochist who likes wearing over-ear headphones outside in the sweltering summer heat, but I’ve found the 1000XM4s to be plush and comfortable when worn for several hours around my apartment. Thanks to a new sensor inside the left ear cup, the headphones can now detect when you remove them from your ears and will pause audio until you put them back on

Hurt my ears though so I returned them. Got the momentum ii upgrade because they were just a bit smaller. They sound the same but fit my ears better. If you're looking for bone shaking bass look elsewhere

Durability

Sony WH-1000XM4

(1/2)

I bought one pair of these headphones and they were defective out of the box. I returned them and the replacement was even WORSE than the first one. If two out of two of the same product are broken out-of-the-box, you have failed as a company. Sony doesn't even care either! My replacement order was shipped to me in a box just as slim as the box the headphones come in and only slightly longer with absolutely NO packing protection

Sennheiser CX 400BT

(1/1)

I bought these CX400BT less than 2 months ago and the left earbud failed. It stopped putting out sound. Sennheiser will warranty them, but I have to pay the shipping cost! Forget Sennheiser, I won't be buying anymore of their products! That shipping cost is now adding to the overall cost of the product. I'm a bargain hunter and the original cost I felt was a bargain
