Zebra Pen F-701 vs Zebra Pen SARASA Grand

So I figured I'd switch to the F-402 which seemed like it was made completely out of thicker steel than the F-301. It was, and it did work great for about a year, but then it broke and found out that under the rubberized grip the pen was actually plastic there. So now I'm going with the F-701, which seems to be made fully out of steel, no plastic pieces. After my first few weeks using it, I've found it to be every bit of what I've come to expect out of zebra

Then I received a replacement and it also has a problem with the mechanism. I did not have this problem with the in store purchase. Not sure if the defective pens ended up here? UPDATE: I received a replacement pen, it too is defective. The ones that I purchased at the office supply store work perfectly

Honestly nothing special about this pen than the fact that you get a comfortable durable pen for the price point. I did buy some space pen refills for layer once the original ink cartridge is empty. In order to make the space pen fit all you have to do is remove a little plastic piece in the tip of the pen.

NO missed strokes. The build is solid and handles as you would expect a high quality pen to. The price is phenomenal. I own pens from $1-$300 and this out does any pen less than $100 in every way

I have to imagine this machined stainless steel pen is more resistant to bending than the plastics, and stronger than either the metal Space or the metal RiteRain bullet. - Great Knurling. Fine, sharp knurl around the area where your fingers naturally fall, near the writing end of the pen. There probably is a consideration here

Stainless steel heft by feel, coated with pleasant ceramic-like outer coating, finally a gel that can’t skip and can’t smudge, and you don’t have to win the lottery to afford it. Am I awake, somebody?

The weight is well balanced, and the knurling provides a satisfying grip not usually seen in pens. The clicky button is pretty good, though not as perfect as the Parker Jotter, IMO. So far, it seems to be the perfect length for twirling, at least for me. The clip could be tighter, I suppose

I’ve always like gel pens, but the ink would always smear. That’s not an issue with this ink. If you like the to feel the weight of the pen when you’re writing, you’ll love this one. The hinge on the clip is a very nice touch also
