This machine also has a 2-year warranty, which is longer than that of most air fryers we’ve seen.

CR’s take:The Cosori Dual Blaze is on the expensive side, but we think it’s still worth highlighting given its large measured capacity (4.7 quarts), its smartphone integration, and its all-around strong performance in all the areas we test. The monolithic exterior may not be to everyone’s taste, but with few nooks and crannies in its exterior design, this machine is easy to clean. It also comes with a 2-year warranty—a year longer than many air fryer warranties.

The electronic controls and programmed settings on the Ninja AF100 are among the easiest to see and use, respectively, earning it high ratings in our controls testing. Cleaning the inside and outside is also fairly simple. The model’s measured capacity is just about average at 3 quarts. Bear in mind that this Ninja runs on the noisy side, with the fan as loud as a countertop microwave. Its warranty is for 1 year.

CR’s take: This Instant Vortex Plus 6-Quart Air Fryer has a clear cooking window, making it easy to monitor your food without having to pull out the basket. The model earns an Excellent rating for its controls and comes with customizable cooking programs and a digital display. In addition to being easy to use, this dishwasher-safe fryer also shows a strong performance in our noise and cleaning tests.

The Proctor Silex Air Fryer Model 35060 is an analog model, so you don’t get the benefits of a digital display, but at a measured capacity of 4.9 quarts, it’s one of the most affordable large-capacity models in our ratings. It’s also fairly easy to clean, even though it’s not dishwasher-safe. And it has a relatively low operating noise. Its 3-year warranty is more generous than the 1-year warranty that’s standard with most air fryers in CR’s ratings.

The Dreo Air Fryer earns Very Good ratings for the ease and legibility of its controls, ease of cleaning, and relatively quiet operating noise. The basket’s claimed capacity is 4 quarts, but CR’s test engineers find that it actually can hold 2.5 quarts. The 1-year warranty is on a par with most of the models we test.

The basket’s claimed capacity is 4 quarts, but CR’s test engineers measured it at 2.5 quarts. It comes with programmed settings and a recipe book. The 1-year warranty is on a par with most of the models we’ve tested.

The Dash Express Tasti Crisp is just as quiet while cooking and just as easy to clean as the Dash Digital above. However, it lacks digital controls, so it’s not quite as easy to use. Like its sibling, this model’s capacity is 1.9 quarts, less than the claimed capacity of 2.6 quarts. It comes with a 2-year warranty, longer than most of the models we test.

Even though we didn’t notice a difference in how this updated machine cooks food compared to the older version (despite a promise of new “fat removal technology”), we still loved it. It has a slim, compact footprint and thus took up less room on our counter than other products. Its cooking basket was roomy enough for 1 pound of food and had a completely nonstick coating. We also liked that the bottom of the basket could be removed for even deeper cleaning, if needed. Its digital controls and dial-operated menu made setting the time and temperature easy and intuitive. It stopped cooking as soon as the set time was up, and its drawer-like design allowed us to remove food without exposing our hands to the heating element.

CR’s take: If you’re looking for a quiet, large-capacity air fryer, the T-Fal Easy Fry XXL Air Fryer & Grill may be for you. While the fryer has a claimed capacity of 5.9 quarts, testers found its actual capacity to be a still sizable 5.4 quarts. The model receives an Excellent rating in our noise tests, and its controls are easy to operate. The fryer comes with a grill plate as well as features such as auto shut-off and preheating.

Measured capacity: 8.2 quartsDimensions: 14x16x13 inchesWith a measured capacity of 8.2 quarts, the Wolfgang Puck 9.7QT Air Fryer is the largest air fryer we tested that earns our recommendation. It aced our tests for user-friendliness and did well on our noise and cleaning tests, too. This model comes with a 1-year warranty, which is similar to most of the other air fryers we recommend. If you’re cooking for a crowd or a large family, this is the best air fryer we tested to do the job right.

CR’s take: If you’re trying to air-fry wings for a crowd, the Wolfgang Puck 9.7QT Air Fryer is one of the largest we found. Like most air fryers, its measured capacity is significantly lower than claimed. We measured it at 8.2 quarts, which is still sizable. Beyond that, the machine performed nicely in our cleaning and noise tests, and its dials are easy to read and maneuver. But prepare to make some adjustments when you’re setting the temperature. When we set the machine to 350° F, it measured only 284° F.

You can feed a 4-person family with this large-capacity Bella Pro Series 6-qt. Digital Air Fryer. It earns a top-notch rating for its easy-to-use controls, but it’s on the noisy side—it receives a middling score in our noise tests. Bonuses of this measured 5.2-quart model include preset cook modes, an auto shut-off for added safety, and a 2-year warranty.

We think a convection toaster oven does the job better, but if you need something smaller, this is the model to get. When filled to capacity, the Philips HD9741/96 was able to cook food more evenly than the other pod-shaped models we tested.
