I’m new to tactical firearms and also in the process of building my first AR.  My question involves types of optics.  Again I’m new so please don’t roast my ignorance.  What makes optics made by big name companies like vortex, bushnell etc so much more expensive and desirable vs a more affordable option like Leapers UTG?  I’ve done some research and a majority of their specs are on par with these optics being sold for easily 2x as much.  Any info is appreciated before I begin to really dive into my build!
