Airthings 2960 Poor Radon Accuracy

Good idea, nice integration, questionable support and product quality

 The readings from the 2 devices confused me soon after my second airthings radon device introduced. So I begin to do ventilation test, hoping to see a decrease in radon reading after hours of basement ventilation. But no repeated decrease pattern is recognized after ventilation. Then I called the customer service, they are bad in knowledge and gave new explanation every time for one purpose that the product is good

 Airthings slashes its brands by its false standard statement published.The 2 stars are for the other 5 sensors, temperature, air pressure, VOC, CO2, and humidity. Please be advised that the air pressure is close related to radon level. I hope my review can help some people

Radon detection is very unreliable (updated 1/30/2021)

  Humidity was in the yellow on my Airwave Plus detector in my great room. I placed a humidifier nearby and this unit responded with accurate readings as promised. The humidifier ran out of water and the readings dropped. The Airwave Plus detector responded reporting accurate readings again for the decrease

  I tested 4 of these units placed in different locations (2 in my basement). I found the accuracy of all the readings to be what was promised except for RADON.  Temp and Co2 - I vented my basement and the temp sensor responded accurately for the decrease in temp as well as the increase when I shut the windows. Same with Co2 levels and air pressure which was a little more challenging to test

Radon Detection was a C at best. Overall a very comprehensive detector with good performance.

 You should be able to select a section of the graph in the past and zoom into it. Nope. For no reason at all air quality is hugely tied to air temperature. Cold day, air quality is red? That's dumb
