I upgraded from my JBL Charge 4 to the Jamo S803 speakers paired  with a Aiyima A07 Amp and I really love the way these speakers sound. I reccomend these if you are looking for speakers under $200 and also reccomend the amp as well.

My first good system.

Build quality appears to be good on the outside. Inside? Not likely. Sound quality was just ok for driving small bookshelf speakers. These class D type amplifiers are noted not to be able to push clean sounding bass, due to their lack of current drive by their very design

Also these cheap Chinese built "Chi-Fi" amps have a poor record of reliability and safety

None of these class D amps are a value for the money!

 Keeping the amp at 40% and upping the source to max output got things as loud as I could reasonably want for nearfield listening. High volume but before distortion really kicks in. You could still crank the amp up a lot more but I didn't see the need.  I still prefer a class A/B amp

Tinkering around, I think I found something really nice.

For the money, this little power amplifier is fairly impressive. The sound staging, clarity, and stereo imaging is way above what this unit is worth and it can drive fairly efficient spears quite loud. Now with that being said, there are a few things that are needed to make it perfect that I would be willing to pay more money for. First off, the power supply that comes with this is a bit anemic to drive harder to drive speakers loudly

 I know these are just nitpicks, but there's certain basic features I can't live without. So with this in mind, I would have to recommend either the significantly more expensive ($250-$280) SMSL A0200 or the Sabaj A20A over Aiyima's A07 and A08 until they can include a subwoofer pre-out and a remote control.

 There is an upgraded version of the A07, the A08. The A08 has a built-in power supply that puts out more power and has a Bluetooth receiver, but still no subwoofer pre-out or remote control. I know these are just nitpicks, but there's certain basic features I can't live without. So with this in mind, I would have to recommend either the significantly more expensive ($250-$280) SMSL A0200 or the Sabaj A20A over Aiyima's A07 and A08 until they can include a subwoofer pre-out and a remote control

Decent little power amplifier for the money

Light gray color and no grills. What surprises me is how well it pairs with any amp, I tried out the Schiit Vidar, SMSL SA300, and Aiyima A07. It sounds great with all with the SMSL being my favorite of the three. The speakers don't even need the subwoofer for my genres of music, as it's surprising balanced sounding

Tekton Pendragons arrived!

I used this amplifier as an external amplifier for the 4.1 AVR setup and as a standalone amplifier for bookshelf speakers (KEF LS50 Meta & Buchardt S400 MK2 with a DAC connected to the PC).  Pros: - Decent performance for the price (as long as you keep your expectation realistic) - Straightforward setup - It did get warm playing on a louder volume for extended period of time, but pretty manageable temps  Cons: - No additional features. No wireless, bluetooth, preout, subout, etc

  *Also, this A7 outperforms its more expensive tier (with bluetooth feature) of the product in terms of its main functionality (power amp) according to Audio Science Review.

 - Included power supply won't get you the most juice out of the product. I upgraded the power adapter to 36V 10A (generic Chinese brand being sold here on Amazon) to get more power out of it. It would've been nice if Aiyama included a better PSU or gave an option to upgrade within their product sales page.  Overall, if you are on a tight budget or just want to get something cheaper & simpler to use for a casual setup, this could be quite decent option to consider

My girlfriend got me the KEF Q150 for my birthday this year. For the longest time I've been a headphones only person and didn't pay much attention to my speakers. Hearing how people say you can get better experience with speakers at a lower price vs. headphones, it got me intrigued. 

After setting them up (which took a long time because I've never setup passive speakers before, and went through a lot of little mistakes before realizing what cables I needed), I was immediately wowed by the transparency, clarity, soundstage, and presence of these speakers! 

I had the A07 at 12 o'clock position, and the Valhalla at around 9-10 o'clock, and it was already very very loud for my medium sized room. I don't see myself ever going past that. 

Turning off the lights and reclining in my chair is a completely new experience than my headphones, which are the HD 600, no slouch in themselves. But the level of immersion, warmth, bass (!!!), presence, sound stage, clarity, and just the holistic experience blows my headphones out of the park. The bass really surprised me -- while they weren't earth shattering booming, but they were clear and punchy. Electronic music sounded GREAT on these, with a lot of great energy that really surprised me. My cheap Polk Audio subwoofers don't even pair well with them because the bass from that just sounds muddy, taking away from the clarity of these speakers. With the foam tubes taken out of the back sub ports, it unleashed all the bass. With the foam in, it lacked a bit of the fullness you get with all the bass. 

While the HD 600s sound neutral, accurate, and analytical, these speakers sound warm and inviting. Then again, you don't really get the HD 600s for their "warmth" per se, so it's not exactly a fair comparison. Let's just say the experience is very different. 

I did notice that I can tell discrete instruments/vocals apart a lot better with my HD 600s, while with these speakers, I can better enjoy the entire performance of all instruments and vocals as a whole. Music just has more soul with these. And not only that, I finally understood what people meant by the speakers just disappearing. You can't hear that sound is coming out from those two speakers. 

At the right equilateral setup, you just hear the music in front of you with instruments and accompaniments surrounding your senses. It's quite magical. 

That said, when I first listened to them, either due to speaker placement or direction, I felt quite fatigued and found them a bit bright. Maybe my ears were just adjusting to them. Or I placed them too direct/close to my ears. Not sure what. 

For a $500 dollar upgrade including the amp and cables, I am super satisfied! And this is definitely cheaper than my headphone setup which the DAC/amp alone is ~600 dollars.

After using the Audioengine A2 for over ten years, finally upgraded to the KEF Q150! I never knew what I missed out on.

I listened to this amp with an SMSL Sanskrit II DAC and was not that impressed. Not bad. Pretty average with a bias to highs and thin. That's the bad part

 I then decided to purchased a tube pre-amp (Suca) for less than $50 to see if it would help and I was shocked at how much the sound improved. If paired with a tube preamp this amp is absolutely fabulous. Sound becomes full and spacious. It's amazing
