 If you guys are new into making music, you don't even have a computer. I recommend this mpc one, a hundred percent. You don't need to touch anything in your computer. You can just skip the computer and just have this mpc one get yourself some headphones and just get a little adapter for your iphone and that right there you'll start making music without needing anything else

AKAI MPC ONE Review | best drum machine in 2021?

 No settings did fix the issue, so either I got a bad device or this is how the device works; so I didn't want to risk to get another one and returned it.  It is a shame because overall the device seems capable; it is a good replacement if you do not own a MPC live; but if the main feature is not working; then the whole thing is not usable. The sounds are OK; the internal synths are something serviceable but not much of use to be honest, unless you like to make your own presets.  The auto-sample is useful to record synths automatically and generate a version you can carry around, but I never carry anything around because I work at my desk so that didn't do much for me

This will not replace your daw and pc. It is a daw in a dedicated crappy pc. To get the most out of it you will need to hook it up to your pc and use akai's software. If you are looking for a decent drum machine/sampler/sequencer I would look elsewhere as the workflow is like learning a new daw

 I'm finding out that I'll never want to program in another bass line when I can simply record it by playing it with way more expression by using the pads. All the ports feel sturdy. I love that it has an SD slot so I can expand the storage. Tracks save at a decent speed when saving to the SD card

 So between the countless MPC One, X, and Live tutorial videos, you'll be able to find plenty of great teachers free of charge. There's also a reasonably priced MPC bible that is supposedly to be the go to print resource to learn from and reference when needed, though I still haven't purchased this yet.  The sound quality is crystal clear. Definitely pro quality
