 Electric piano is the next sound Bank over [Music] [Music] so it sounds like harpsichord to me I mean it's it's kind of whatever. The only music I listen to the harpsichord is some Vampire Weekend tracks but synth I think is actually the worst sound on this instrument I think it just sounds outdated and terrible unless you want to play that like one song. this the strings. The only caveat is like playing from notes playing like consecutive notes

 like the low octave sounds really tight and the high just sounds like really delicate and nice which is what I like the most about it. I Love playing stuff like up here like [Music] it just sounds like super nice like some keyboards I've heard at this price they kind of get like shrill and like kind of piercing your ear like that high. but I really think it's a very nice piano sound and the one of the coolest parts is the reverb. I played and taught off an Alesis Recital Pro for a couple of years (still play on it), and it’s full length weighted keys and comes in at under 2x the price of the above keyboards. Check it out - it’s a bargain (plus it takes batteries if you ever want to busk or perform on the go). Full disclosure - the sound quality isn’t absolutely amazing, but at the price you pay for it, it’s a good quality instrument that will ultimately last you longer than a non-weighted option. Also don’t worry too much about space - it’s of course a bit bigger than the models above, but realistically, it shouldn’t take up loads more space

Which one to buy?

I have been a long time guitar and bass player and was interested in getting a decent keyboard to learn on. My wife also had played piano a while back and was interested. I initially purchased this Alesis model, but found that the keys were a little "loose" between eachother, especially noticeable on the black keys. When you touched them, they would move side to side and just did not feel solid

 It was not even close with the action of the keys and the sound coming from the Yamaha. The keys feel solid, have great dynamics, don't move on you, and the Grand Piano voice is loud, deep and clear. Side by side, the Alesis sounded more like my kids toy keyboards, seriously.  If you are considering this one and can spend the extra money I would highly suggest the Yamaha P-71 or P-45

 There is really no excuse to not include the staples Rhodes, Williser, and Dx7 sounds in the Recital Pro. The second thing I didn't like about this piano when I opened up the box is that there is no sustain pedal included in the box. not even a cheap little square plastic pedal. A damper pedal is essential for piano playing, and not including one in the box is just an unnecessary oversight

 [Music] Another feather in the cab for the Laces Recital Pro is that it can be powered via either an electrical outlet or with batteries. The sensible design, reasonable weight, convenient buttons, quarter inch line outputs coupled with battery operation means this piano is great for basking small gigs. and if you need to move the piano to different rooms in your home where necessary now, nothing is perfect and the Laces Recital Pro isn't Here are four things I don't really like about it, and let's hope someone in Oasis watches this video and improves on it. [Music] For a digital piano, especially one that's portable and has great potential to gig with, I expected more than a single electric piano sound

Neither does it aim to be an anorexic supermodel like the current Casio digital Pianos, which comes with compromises due to the design

Im a newbie to the whole piano world with zero experience and I’m looking into buying a digital piano and start on my learning journey and actually build skills, I’d also like one that would hopefully last long as well seeing that this will only be a hobby for now. But while researching for what to buy everything was just too confusing, i need help in choosing.

which one would be best? or any other recommendations?

Help!

  The other only negative is that it only comes with a 1 year warranty. In this day and age that is very small, so hopefully the unit holds up.  Oh and like many others said, the max volume isn't going to blow you away with these onboard speakers. I have mine in a one bedroom apartment so it's fine for me, and I think anyone serious about performing would use a quality amp anyway

  Update***  So sadly, I think I'm returning this unit for a different manufacturer. I was considering buying the cheaper non pro Recital version but I know they probably use the same key designs on that model too. I really like the Recital Pro and for $350 it's a great first digital piano for beginners like me, but I can't get over the sharp key edges. I know it's not a $3500 piano but even for $350, I should have to be distracted from lessons and playing music because my fingers are brushing up against sharply cut plastic keys

The Alesis Recital Pro is my first ever piano and I'm very happy with it. I knew I wanted something as close to a real acoustic piano, reasonably priced, good reviews, and a few special effects to play with. With the Alesis Recital Pro I feel like I made the right choice and all the boxes are ticked. Nice classical piano sound, fair price, a few special effects to play around with, a headphone jack which is great for late night practice for those insomniacs out there like myself

 I didn't know anything about Alesis at the time, but I walked away that day with a brand new Alesis Qs 8.2 which they've long discontinued. But it was a phenomenal keyboard and that was my piano for a very very very long time. and it served me very well

 I would imagine that the feel is identical. The key feel is probably identical. Yep, let me go ahead and plug this one in. Okay, I'm going to turn this on and hey, you're not going to fool me twice
