 Upgrading the refresh rate and other people alike meh, it looks good, maybe I'm just one of them now. If there's one thing that I have realized guys from upgrading to this monitor it's that I definitely need to get a new graphics card. This thing uses a crazy amount of GPU horsepower if you're trying to run triple-a games at Ultra settings at 1440p at 120 Hertz - I don't know if even the 20 ATT I can do every single game at those max settings. It'S just crazy yeah how much GPU power this users, so I'm definitely gon na - have to upgrade soon I'm not sure what I'm gon na do

 So now we tilt it the other way. Yes see, we've been able to move it further. That'S what we're that's! What we need so in the middle now, if you have a look, we should have plenty of room for that altar, wide, which I think that's gone pretty well. It means that we've not had to read drill any of the wall mounts which yeah that's a win in my book

The second thing that made the most difference to me coming from 60 Hertz 1080p, was in fact not the frame rate, but the resolution I can definitely tell the text - is clearer now like when I'm on my desktop or browsing the web, and things like that and You can definitely tell the difference in games as well. You can kind of get very close to the monitor like with your eyes, and everything still looks very crisp, whereas 1080p is actually starting to look a little bit blurry to me now, which I I didn't think that would happen now. I Bought an Ultrawide! Alienware AW3418DW Unboxing + Installation!

 Picture quality was all that they cared about, and consoles were designed within their 1080p and 60hz limitations, accepting their higher input lag as "the cost of doing business." PC monitors focused on reducing input lag and response times, increasing refresh rates, and adding adaptive-sync support. And until the advent of 4K TVs, PC monitors always won the resolution battle. Even today they still do, as there's no TV that offers a middle-ground between 1080p and 4k or wider aspect ratios

sRGB displays should target 100% sRGB. P3 displays should target 100% D65-P3 (I know this is expensive, and today's Quantum-Dot and Nanocell options at 95-98% are excellent budget alternatives for the time being), with a 100% sRGB mode available and, most importantly, the ability to auto-switch between the two modes based on what Windows HD Color is reporting to the display.

I have a Fully Jarvis desk 48"x30" and I would say this is the smallest desk I would put the LG C1 on.  You will either either need to place your desktop on the ground or if you have a SFF computer like I do you can put it behind the C1.  The monitor has a pretty deep stand, so wall mounting this or finding an arm probably could save you 6"+ depth wise.  My viewing distance is about 36"

To replace my 34" UW I was looking at a Samsung G9 49" on sale for $1000.  The G9 hands down would have fixed the real estate issue I was having and also provide an insanely fast refresh rate at 240Hz, but would have literally taken every inch width wise of my 48" desk and while QLED is good it simply can't compare to the contrast ratio of OLED.  The G9 would have the plus of having an actually stand and it having a curvature, which is probably one of the bigger downsides of the C1.  In the end I decided to go C1 since at $1100 on sale it actually would fit slightly better on my desk but also give me a massive jump in contrast

  I would say this is the minimum distance you should have.  Since the TV is so tall, using this on a static desk can be tricky.  Since my desk is a standing one I can use the desk to lower and raise the TV/Monitor, but even then the monitor is quite tall especially compared to an UW.  This has to be one of the bigger drawbacks of the 48" TV as a monitor and why some have complained about eye or even neck strain

 This is one of the reasons why I will always advocate for gsync vs freesync. Side by side, the HDR vs no HDR is hardly noticeable and would always recommend the dell for those reasons above. Lastly, the dell simply has better R&D with how it is designed. The back cover is extremely easy to remove and access

\#1. 32:9 I'm actually going to start with a super ultrawide monitor. The most popular is the samsung CRG9. This is a 5120 x 1440p, freesync 2, hdr, 1800r curved monitor by samsung

 I have a mount that can support up to 30 pounds and this monitor is just far too heavy. The stand is very low so it definitely will not be an an ergonomic level unless your torso is very short.

 Some takeways about the monitor: black levels are excellent and colors are great. The HDR is passable. However, the response time on this monitor is DEFINITELY noticeably slower than a comparable IPS and EXTREMELY slower than a fast 240hz TN panel. It is very noticeable in first person shooters (Far cry 5, destiny 2, CS GO, overwatch)

I know the G9 is absolutely the new hotness, but I really don't think it's right for me. I'm trying to decide between the LG 38 G-sync for $1600 on amazon (or the G-sync compatible version from Costco for a bit cheaper) or the Acer X35 for $1800 currently. I know the X35 is almost a year old, but it's kind of crazy to me that almost nobody even talks about them anymore, especially at this reduced price point. I haven't played any HDR games or experienced much HDR content. But doing a YouTube video comparison of my Note 20 OLED in HDR and my Acer Predator 27" 1440p IPS in SDR, I was blown away by how "bland" my predator looked. I feel like the FALD HDR1000 of the X35 would be pretty neat to have vs the 400 or 600 of the two LG 38's. I understand there were problems with the X35 at first but it sounds like a firmware update sorted the flicker and fan issues, correct? Was the X35 just a dud compared to what's out there now or would it be worth picking up?
