Bottom line here: If you're looking for a very inexpensive hand blender kit, this is a solid pick. and even its downsides don't really detract from it too much. It sells for an absurdly low 35 us dollars

 The Amazon Basics hand blender kit also comes with a whisk that you can use for getting air into whipping cream, eggs, or anything else. And I can definitely say this is a lot faster and easier than doing it by hand. The hand blender was really easy to use and easy to clean up, and all the parts except for the motor are dishwasher safe. Notably, Amazon recommends not exceeding two minutes of use with a resting period of two minutes in between

 Since the outer diameter of this blade is under two and a half inches, you can actually fit this hand blender in most cups or mugs, and certainly in pots or pans. Unlike some other hand blenders, there's no blade guard here, so you will need to take care to avoid scratching any pots or pans you put it in. If you're using a softer plastic bowl, you'll need to be careful that you're not placing the blades against the plastic itself. I will also note that the edges of this blending unit cup i guess you could call it they're quite thin metal, so it does make them quite sharp

 This makes it hard to use.  So except for the variable speed, and the price, my Cuisinart immersion blender is still better. It has a narrow blade guard so it can stand up on its own in a narrow container, and the shaft and blade guard are a single tube of metal. I can only put that one in the dishwasher with a plastic cover on it too, but at least I'm more confident that there isn't water and food molding inside the shaft

 It doesn't fit inside many of the containers that I bought it for (mostly wine glasses and mugs and beakers). In containers in which it does fit, the guard is wider than the bottom of the glass and the sides are curved, so I can't set the instrument down in the container, get another ingredient to add, and come back, because it won't stand up. Commercial Power but unreliable

Initially I bought this to use for soap making. I needed a high speed and the price was reasonable and the reviews positive. Then my food blender was not working well and I hadn't made soap yet. So I broke out the hand blender

 Take a 2 lb weight and see if you can hold it over a pot for 30 to 40 seconds before buying this or another heavy immersion blender.

Seems well built but beware of the weight of 2 lbs!  Not for weaker or older adults.

 I used it in a 5 inch diameter jar, 7 inches high and it still spilled the liquid over the top. Now, I have to use a much higher container even for small quantities. I do not have this trouble with my Braun blender. I would not buy it again

 If you only blend things occasionally, this may be the only two we need. but this blender does not hit the mark for. However, it is a great Space saving alternative to a traditional blender. If you only blend things occasionally, and without needing a lot of precision, this may be the only tool you need

Ok blender; attachments don’t add value

 { Anyway, my only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to purchase replacement parts of this blender. I only need ONE part and general parts don't fit this blender. Amazon, when I ask them, just tells me to buy ANY blender accessories despite telling them this blender uses a their own specific parts. I'm talking about the chopper cup and its blade
