It seems like about half the time we perform some sort of action like "Alexa, add &lt;whatever&gt; to the shopping list," she gives a response, and follows up with some kind of dopey "Oh by the way, I can perform some stupid task you don't care about. Just ask me to blah blah blah". 

Honestly, I'm tired of following things up with an "Alexa, shut up".

How do I make these stupid followups disappear?

How to stop the irrelevant "and did you know...." type stuff?

 If I bypass the Cube, and use the Amazon Music app in my iPhone to cast directly to the Studios, then this should give me Ultra HD audio in all its glory. I'm doing this for testing purposes only. I should have to, nor would I want to, whip out my phone in my home theater to play Ultra HD tracks. I should simply be able to issue a voice command to my home theater components, and the Amazon Music app in my home theater system should be doing it for me

My nieces loved my 90s Sony stack so much that I pieced together a little system for them. Sony STR DH810 receiver paired with DVP NC875V Cd/DVD player run through Proficient NFM5 bookshelf speakers. $25 all in. Thought I'd share this super budget set.
